| James didn't say anything for a while, thinking. "I still love you, Sol. I want to love you. It's not that I emotionally can't. I physically can't. I'm a human, you're a vampire. You're not even supposed to know who I am. I can't be with you, and it breaks my heart." James said, forcing those words out of his mouth. Each word caused him so much pain, it was unbearable, but he had to.

| Sol felt like choking on her own tears as they rose in her eyes again. "So that's it?" She whispered. She stood up, picking up her sketchbook as well, and looking away, tears rapidly covering her cheeks. She looked at him, for what felt like to her the last time. She could see all the pain in his eyes, she could tell he really loved her too, but it wasn't enough. His love wasn't enough so that they could hold on to eachother through time, through change. She reached forward, and let her fingers brush gently over his cheek as she cried. "I was stupid for ever getting close to you." she whispered. "Stupid for making you fall in love with me, and stupid for falling for you. Now all I've done is cause you pain." she whispered. There wasn't a shred of happiness left for her now. "Well... I hope... at least you can find someone to love." she said softly, "Someone who isn't an immortal demon." she muttered, "And have children, and be happy..." Sol's unbeating heat wrenched in her chest. Her hand dropped from his cheek and she turned away, "Bye..." She said quietly, then walked off, crying all the way. She wasn't headed to her own house, no. She was going to Rune. | |

| James watched her, an unbearable pain in his chest. His green eyes were filled with the utmost sorrow as he met her eyes for one last time. He took her hand from his cheek and kissed it. Watching her go away. Walking away. Not looking back...he was transported back in time as he remembered his mother being pulled away from him and his sister. Then waking up to find his sister gone. But if you have to go then please go, just leave me alone. I don't want to see you and me going our separate ways Im begging you to stay But you're already on your way... There was a last burst of undeniable pain in James' eyes before the light that Sol had seen in his eyes-that she had captured so well in her drawings-left him. He finally bowed his head, defeated. It was a long time before he moved. He first emotion he felt was hollowness. His chest felt empty. His eyes were emotionless, and he felt as heavy as the world. Finally he got up, slow as can be and walked back to his car. With a blood curdling screech, the tires of the black ford lurched forward. James tore out of the parking lot like the Devil himself was after him.

| Stephen was feeling lazy. He'd gone out in the morning for a quick run and had gotten distracted. He had ended up at the pool, then playing basketball for hours with his friends from school. Every foul or penalty merited an honorary dunk in the ocean. Stephen now walked back to Aurora house soaking wet. He had laid his shorts out to dry where he couldn't be seen, so st least his basketball shorts were dry. All Stephen needed to do was put his shirt out to dry. Stephen made his way to the lawn and collapsed in the grass, taking off his shirt and slapping it next to him to dry in the sun. Stephen sighed contentedly. So much for being lazy today, he thought. | |

| Sol was crying softly as she approached the Aurora home. She had stopped partway there, then started up again soon after. She couldn't stop crying. Why did everything have to hurt so much? She already missed James, she wanted to see his face smiling at her and she wanted him to put his arm around her so she could lean on his shoulder and be close with him. Too bad nothing like that would ever happen again, or so she thought. Each footstep felt heavy, and the closer she got to the Aurora home the sadder she felt. Nothing could compare to the sorrow in her chest. It was hard bringing her feet up for each step and she wished to only collapse and fall to the ground crying. She didn't even notice Stephen as she walked towards the Aurora's front door. She didn't think about Wren possibly waiting to make her cry even more. She didn't care. She wanted, and needed Rune. | |

| Stephen was listening to the amazing sound of birds chirping, and enjoying the sun on his face, when something felt wrong. He opened an eye and saw a familiar girl going up the steps, absolutely sobbing her heart out. He sat up, deciding if he should say something. If she was going to the Aurora coven and Stephen was sure she didn't live there, she must be going to see someone. "Ah..." Stephen cleared his throat. "Are you alright?" he asked, gently, putting his dry white shirt back on and standing up. | |

| "Move the damn dog away, Rune, he's scaring Altair." Wren growled, scooping up the Coon into her arms and glaring down at her little brother and his dog, who was shrinking away from her. Rune had never seen Mit look that freaked before. "I'll let him out." Rune rolled his eyes and ran over to the front door, opening it and closing it again, not seeing who was outside. He grinned. "Rune!" Wren yelled as Mit began barking loudly and Altair started clawing into her arms. "Open the damn door before I do it for you!" "Fine fine." Rune shrugged and opened the door, letting Mit fly out. He was about to close it again when he finally heard the sounds of someone crying outside and Stephen voice asking whoever was alright. "What the..." He opened the door fully and he was taken aback when he saw a sobbing Sol. "Wren, get out of here." he barked over his shoulder. She didn't need to be told twice, turning her back and running off into the house. If there was one thing she could never stand, it was someone crying.
"What the hell happened?" he asked, astonished and stepped to one side to allow her through.

| ooc: Ey sure. =3 I have muse for Wren at the moment.
bic:
Wren tore out the house by the back door, allowing it to slam shut behind her and Altair was still in her arms, now meowing in protest. She ran out the side of the house and into the streets. Realizing that she was clutching her cat in a death grip, she relaxed and the cat settled into her arms, now purring contently. She couldn't stand it in there- Sol's sobs were killing her. Muttering, she put Altair down and watched as the Coon ran back towards the house. She followed after him and immediately went to the back, climbing up a tree and leaping into her open window. She picked up her violin that was lying on her bed and began to play it, a soft soothing melody that blocked out every other sound that was around her, and at the same time, thinking of also playing in the park.

| When Wren jumped into the tree in the back of the Aurora house, she had barely registered a slender figure sleeping in the branches, easily hidden by the leaves. However the shaking branches caused the figure to start awake. "Woah!" Aislinn yelped, falling out of the tree. Luckily her reflexes were beyond par, and she grabbed the branch, swinging herself up like a trapeze artist. After the swim meet, Aislinn had changed and taken a shower to get all the chlorine off of her and she changed into skin tight jeans with scrunched leather high heeled boots and her favorite striped tank top and motorcycle jacket. She had taken the liberty of borrowing a few of her brother's longer necklaces and hung them around her neck. Aislinn perched on the branch, and was about to jump down when she heard the sweet sound of a humming violin. Aislinn looked up, blinking her clear blue eyes and raising an eyebrow. She jumped gracefully from one branch to the next until she was level with the window. She saw Wren there, and blinked. "You play beautifully." Aislinn said aloud, sitting on a slender branch, swinging her feet below her. | |

| Of course Wren didn't hear the yelp of her covenmate, she was too caught up in the music. Her fingers moved swiftly across the neck of the violin, each sound produced was enough to make birds start singing in tune. Wren had not heard Aislinn falling off the tree, but she had a sharp ear when it came to compliments. She stopped playing and turned around, raising an eyebrow at the girl in the tree. At the moment, she realized how very little she knew about her covenmates other than Rune. Her blue eyes flashed with caution and then put the violin down, her eyebrow still raised.
"Uhm...thank you." she said circumspectly. She didn't have any insults at the moment to contradict a compliment, especially one that had to do with her playing.

| Aislinn only nodded in response to Wren. She fixed her gaze on the violin in the girl's hand and tilted her head to the side as if curiosity was getting the better of her. Aislinn never took up a musical instrument, though she had always wanted to. Violin was a beautiful instrument, but Aislinn's would never ask Wren to teach her, and she suspected Wren was the last person in the world that would willingly offer to teach her. Aislinn spoke again, her British accent lilting. "How long have you been playing?" she supposed that was a difficult and rather broad question to ask, so Aislinn rephrased. "or, should I ask..when did you start?" | |

| Wren fingered the fragile instrument in her hand and put the bow down on her bed. "Since I was five. I've been playing for a long time now. Too long." she said neutrally, the closest she could get to being friendly and allowed herself a faint smile. She walked over to the window and leaned against the sill, using the scroll of the violin to hang it . One shake and it will fall, but Wren was smart and cautious enough not to do so. "You sound as though you never played an instrument before, am I right?" Unfortunately, Wren did not have the time and patience to teach others- she ran out of those ever since she was turned. Violin was a difficult instrument- it took Wren years to master it herself. Right now, she couldn't believe that she was having a proper conversation with someone without adding an insult or two. Even Rune would have been amazed but then again, he knew that Wren was always neutral with people that she didn't find fault with but she never came close to 'friendly.' | |

- Aislinn smiled, grabbing her towel and car keys. "I'll help if you guys are still at it when I get back. I should only be an hour and a half or so!" she replied, getting her shoes on. Regan could be really sweet, but sometimes Aislinn felt Regan was so busy worrying about everything else to really have fun. It wasn't a bad thing, and Regan had a good reason to worry, being the coven leader and all. Aislinn put her thoughts to rest, and gave Leo a kiss on the forehead before hurrying out the door. Bear huffed, clearly frustrated he couldn't follow her to the swim meet. He padded over to Leo, licking his hand. Leo patted Bear on the head before getting up out of the chair. He clapped his hands, and looked down at Regan with his blue eyes. "What's first for chores then?" he asked, smiling. "And would you like me to pick the music, or would you like to?"
Regan stood clicked the recliner back into place leaning down to pull of her heels, walking in them was completely natural for her but they would still be needless in the flock or chores. "We got a new round of blood from the government yesterday I'd like to go through them, I don't trust what they send us." She picked up her shoes and put them in the stair closet she didn't want to keep them there but she wasn't up to going up to the fourth floor just yet.

| Aislinn shrugged casually. "We had a piano at home, but the only one who could play was my mother. We couldn't afford to tune it, and when my mom and dad died, Leo and I had to take care of our other siblings. I didn't have time." It used to bother Aislinn to talk about her family. It brought back too many good memories that made her sad. But Leo had been there for Aislinn, and she had gotten over it, and now loved to remember the quirks that their little siblings had taken up-arguing over who got food first, chasing each other down the banister in their small home, and taking turns watching over Betsy's newborn baby when Betsy visited over to check in with them once a month. "But I've always wanted to play the piano, or guitar. I could ask Stephen to teach me guitar, but he has the attention span of a teaspoon." There was a high pitched squeaking followed by a resounding bark. Aislinn looked down. Bear was patiently waiting at the foot of the tree...well that's what Aislinn thought he was doing. An unfortunate squirrel had just chosen the time to cross paths with the border collie, and now Bear was chasing the poor squirrel around the base of the tree. Aislinn let out a small sigh, but nevertheless couldn't help but smile at her beloved companion. | |

| Leo nodded. "Sounds like a good idea." He cocked his head in confusion. "Why don't you trust them?" the government seemed pretty reliable. He didn't think any of the covens had given the government reason to poison them.

| Sol sniffled and tried to hold in her sobs as she looked over at Stephen. Did she know him? Oh right, of course, he was Kolian's friend. She tried to get out a reply when Mit bolted past her and upon hearing Rune's voice she immediately turned to the small boy. Sol ran forward, wanting to hug him badly but stopped just in time. She winced a little at her near-mistake, and drew her arms away holding her sketchbook close. She noticed he had made room for her to come in, and she managed a very weak, but pain-filled smile. She wiped her eyes, and somehow she felt a little better knowing Rune was here. However, that fact didn't stop her smile from falling as instantly as she had made it come. "My boyfriend dumped me" She said quietly, stepping in slowly. Her voice was shaky as she told Rune. "He's a vampire hunter. And he figured out I am a vampire." she said softly. Her eyes turned on Rune and they were sad. | |

| James slammed the door of his truck, getting his equipment out of the back. He locked the doors and walked into the gym, arrows in a quiver around his back with his bow in his right hand and a shining sword in his left hand. James didn't want to think. He just wanted to do. He grabbed his locker room key from the front desk and went into the locker rooms. After he changed into basketball shorts and a white wife beater, he grabbed his arrow and bow, going out to the archery range. There were two types of common archery bows. The compound and the recurve. James was going to use the recurve, which is what they use in the Olympic Games, but James chose the compound, which was much more precise, and a hell of a lot faster at shooting than the recurve. The compound bow is harder to pull back, especially if you're beginning at archery. When you pulled back the string, there was an amount of resistance that you had to pull back until it suddenly let off when the string was pulled all the way back. When you released the compound bow it snapped forward, and propelled the arrow forward at a much higher speed. Walking out into the range in the back of the gym, James took his aim and shot a few rounds until he moved the targets back to 50 yards. It was his goal to get a bullseye at 50 yards, not quite the distance they shoot at Olympics (70 yards) but it was the closest he'd ever gotten. After he finished archery and collected his arrows James headed back into the gym. He did anything to detach from the moment. Swordfight, more archery, throwing a few punches at the punch bag, and listening to music. He blared it as loud as he could in his ears, drowning out anything. Any thoughts about Sol, or hunting newborns, or the government he drove out of his head. | |

| Aimee had been practicing for hours to no avail. Her gym coach had gone home two hours ago and now she was here alone. She fell on the trampoline and sighed. The gymnasitcs side of the gym was now near-empty. She looked to the other side of the gym to see James there. Her heart sank in her chest. He'd just finished talking to Sol. She could tell. Aimee got off the trampoline and walked over to him in her leotard and tshirt over it. She tapped him on the shoulder. "James..." she said softly. She understood how he felt. She felt the same way, except it probably wasn't so bad. She loved someone but she had no chance with him. She felt like she had lost a battle she should've won. She felt defeated, sad, and every moment she felt like collapsing and just laying there because it wasn't worth getting up anymore. She wanted to help James, but how could she help him with this when she was in her own fix? Aimee honestly wanted his advice. She wanted to talk to him, and wanted to understand how he could love someone and tell them easily. She wanted to know so badly... she wanted to make him feel better too. Aimee wanted alot of things, but she felt like she was the cause of him loosing Sol. Though she hadn't been the one to change Sol into a vampire, and though she hadn't been the one to make James into a hunter, or spill the files, she felt like this was all her fault. All his sadness, his torn heart, her fault. | |
