Stephen turned to see who hugged him, and beamed when he saw Kolian's lovely face. Kolian. She was such an amazing girl, he loved her so much. He wouldn't really describe it as a lovey type of love, or a brotherly type, but it seemed like a stronger type of brotherly love. Either way, he missed Kolian, and loved to see her happy. When they were human, and Kolian came to him upset, it made him upset to see her so unhappy.
It truly made him smile when she was so happy and bright. He hadn't talked to her in a little while. "Hey, there, short stuff." he said, giving her a brotherly kiss on the forehead. "How goes it?" he said, keeping an arm around her.

Kolian blinked and rubbed her forehead after the kiss. She smiled at Stephen, her best friend in the entire universe. She sat beside him and smiled when she saw Grace. "nothing much..." she laughed. "did you put grace to sleep? I didn't think you got THAT boring." she giggled some and leaned her head on Stephen's shoulder. As he missed her, she'd missed him. He was an incredible person and she hoped he knew how much he meant to her. He was her therapist as well as her best friend. She poked at his guitar and wrapped her arm around it to poke at a few strings. No way did she know how to play, but she did like making noises on the guitar. "can you sing yet? Or are you still tone deaf?" she teased, smiling up at him with her eyes shining. 
The tip of kolian's feet touched the floor when she sat all the way back in the couch as she was doing now. Her jeans, which had been made for regular sized girls, covered half her foot when she had her legs dangling like this. She cuddled up against Stephen and smiled. He smelled nice. Reeaallyyy nice. 

Stephen laughed, flicking Kolian on the nose with his free hand. "You haven't changed one bit in your tactics for insulting me." he put on a mock wounded face. "And for your information, I'm a brilliant singer!"
In reality, he was one of the most terrible singers in the world. He'd been asked to stop singing at a birthday party once when he was 10 years old. Kolian had never let him live that down, since she was there too, and just about laughed until she died. He played a few scales on the guitar before clearing his throat and singing 'Happy Birthday'.
It was terrible, and he was honestly surprised Grace didn't wake up from it. He winced. "Ahh...so maybe I need to work on that a bit..." he said, before playing an impromptu riff on the guitar. As terrible as he was at singing, he was amazing on guitar, having had a lifetime as well as when he was human to figure it out.
When he was human, he played at fairs and on the streets. He'd bought the Madagascar Rosewood C.F. Martin, his pride and joy, simply from the tips he'd received over the span of a number of years. It was saying something, since guitars usually cost around 14000 bucks. He'd taken such good care of it, and often practiced so much until his fingers bled. It sounded hardcore, but it was one of a few of Stephen's talents that made people stop and stare.

Kolian smiled brightly and laughed at his mock insulted look. "yes. Wonderful. Just like at your own tenth birthday." she laughed at him and covered her ears as he started playing and singing happy birthday. "my ears! They're bleeding!" she joked. She looked over at Grace. "no, you didn't bore her to death, you sang her to death. How could you?!" she gasped, joking. She was an awful actress but an okay singer. She was better than Stephen at least. 
Kolian could sing in the sweetest childish voice, but that was it. She couldn't make it better than it was. It was simply all she could sing. There was always a limit. At parties, when she sang, her voice would stand out as the kiddy one. So when she had gotten older she sang quietly, so as not to be noticed. 
Kolian ran her fingers over the guitar so it played. "play me something magnificent, Elvis." she said and grinned at him. There was never a dull moment when she was talking with Stephen. He always knew how to make her smile, and they teased each other constantly. They were like fern and Matthew used to be. She wondered if Fern could find love in Stephen...
Kolian laughed inwardly. If she did, she was still going to claim Stephen as her best friend, and still her therapist. So if Fern ever fell for Stephen, she'd have to share Stephen so he could do his job of listening to her issues.

"He dinn't sing meh ta death..." Grace opened a bleary eye and mock scowled at Kolian before smiling. "ello..." she said before turning back over and falling asleep again. Stephen motioned toward Grace as if to say 'thank you' and looked at Kolian pointedly. "See, I haven't been torturing her! I would never do that!" He said indignantly. "Ahh, alright." he said at her request. "Your wish is my command, dear lady."
Stephen tuned his guitar in a different manner than normal, plucking the strings individually to get the right notes. Eventually he got them, and Stephen took the guitar strap off. He set the guitar on the wooden coffee table and looked at Kolian.
"You'll like this one." he said, and suddenly, the most amazing sound emitted from the guitar. But Stephen wasn't strumming. He was slapping on the guitar. The sound echoed throughout the house, and Stephen let his hands lead him deeper into the song. It was his favorite song from his favorite movie ever, and had taken him over an hour to get the song right. It was an amazing sound. Grace turned back over, and opened her eyes fully, sitting up, listening to Stephen play with awe in her brown eyes.

Kolian rolled her eyes. "she's delirious" kolian insisted. She smiled at Grace then looked at Stephen as he tuned the guitar and put it on the table. The moment he slapped the guitar her eyes widened. "a-august rush!" she stammered, in awe. Back when they were little he had always played amazing things, but this by far was a shock, because the movie August Rush hadn't come out when they were humans. 
She was thrilled as she listened. Yes she loved the song. She had listened to it over and over again, always watching in complete awe as she did now. Obviously, the way Stephen played, was different from how the kid on August Rush played it. In the movie, to Kolian it has been obvious someone was playing and the sound had been edited in. The kid couldn't play like that and it reflected in the movie. 
Stephen was amazingly good. He was great, and he played and it made her all excited as it always had. She always got excited when he played, and playing something like this was no different. 
Kolian looked over and noticed how big Grace's eyes got and she laughed softly. Stephen was amazing! And he was her best friend. She claimed him and that was that.

Stephen laughed as both Grace and Kolian's eyes got wide. "You should see your faces right now." he said amusingly, smirking. He finished and turned to a different tuning, this time the correct tuning to the guitar and started improving. It was a sweet tune, a lullaby, and Stephen smiled at His best friend. "I'm basing this off of you." he commented before he turned back to his guitar and finishing the song.
"Wow..." Grace said, eyes wide. "That's amazing, Stephen!"
"Thanks, Grace." Stephen smiled at his friend before putting his guitar on the table and leaning back, putting his feet up onto the table. "How's it going with you and mr. Lionel?" Stephen asked. She hadn't told him a lot, and though Stephen was so protective of her, he wasn't a hovering type. She usually came to him, and on the rare occasion she didn't tell him about something, Stephen usually picked it out of the haystack eventually. "Is he treating you right?" Stephen smirked. He sounded like an overprotective father.

Kolian smiled and she shook her head. "you're incredible, as always." she said and smiled more when he played a song based off of her. He was the sweetest thing in the world too. She leaned her head on his shoulder as he leaned back into the couch. If someone came down those stairs and looked at them, it would have been a sight to see. Stephen, with a girl on either side of him with his legs propped up on the coffee table. 
Player. Kolian laughed inwardly. She looked at Stephen as he questioned her relationship. She rolled her eyes and smiled. "of course Lionel's good to me." she said. She couldn't imagine him any other way. Just his friend was a jerk but now I don't give a hoot about her. Kolian thought and smirked lightly. 
She pressed her hands together and held them in her lap. "everything is going well. He asked me, that if I ever want to leave him I have to tell him..." she said. "but I figure, there's no way that's happening." she smiled up at Stephen as she spoke her thoughts. 
"there's nothing much to say about our relationship. I think it's going steady." she smiled brightly. 

((Panda I need to get sleep. I have to wake up at 6 in the morning and it's almost 12. I'm gonna go to camp but I'm bringing my phone! XDD so I won't go poof. Im gonna reply then I'll probably go to catch some Z's))

Stephen listened like the good therapist he was. After Kolian's story, he looked a bit confused about what Lionel said. "Okay, a-- Why would you ever leave him?" Stephen asked. It suddenly occurred to him that it might have happened before. "And b--don't you ever leave permanently, or I'll hunt you down." he said. It was meant to be a joke, but there was seriousness in his voice.
Grace got up quietly and went to go get herself some blood in the kitchen, leaving Stephen and Kolian to talk.
Stephen hardly noticed Grace left. He smiled at Kolian's unintentional play on words. "Wait 'going steady' as in dating, going steady, or 'going steady' as the relationship is coming along just swimmingly?" Stephen laughed.

"Ah."

There was the only word that popped out from Cecil's mouth and the only thing that he could say. He didn't want to say anymore, so he began taking down notes again, but his heart wasn't into it. He frowned when he heard the sound of a phone vibrating and he looked down to see that Sol was texting someone. In class. Cecil clicked into disapproving mood immediately. An broken rule underneath his nose; he frowned disapprovingly.

"It is against the rules to text in class." he said, rolling his eyes. He would have said more if the the bell hadn't rung. He glanced up to see students leaping out of their seats and hurrying towards the exit. He got up as well and with an elegant flick of his hand, swiped everything of his into his backpack. The items made a loud clattering sound as they landed on top of one other.

"I'll see you, Sol." he said, smiling and soon disappeared into the crowd.

Sol looked at Cecil and rolled her eyes a bit when he seemed disapproved with her and her texting. She smiled when the bell rang. Well, nothing to be bothered there. She slid her phone into her white skirt pocket and then closed her sketchbook as well as her notebooks. She picked everything up and went on to the next class. Lunchtime came soon, and she went to her locker to set her books in. She kept her phone and closed her locker, hurrying out to stand outside of the school to wait for James. She imagined her heart pounding in her chest as she anticipated him arriving. She looked down the hall, a mass of people going down and to the lunchroom, few coming out the front door and heading to their cars to grab some fast-food or to go to the diner like she was.
She slid her hand into her skirt pocket and messed with her phone. She was so busy looking out for the handsome pirate, that she didn't see a few boys pass her and look her up and down. Yes she was wearing clothing that probably made her look more attractive than usual, but she didn't notice, of course. The boys walked off to their car, but one stayed back and walked up to her. He was one of the boys on the football team, and he smiled at her, tapping her on the shoulder. "Hey, do you have any plans? My friends and I were going to *food place here* and we wanted to know if you'd come." he said.
Sol looked at the boy and shook her head. "I'm sorry." her voice was gentle and sweet as she let him down. "I already have plans with someone else. Go on and have fun, maybe some other time." she smiled at him with such a sweet gaze that he had to smile back. "Kay, catch you later then." he said and waved, going to the car and driving off. Sol smiled and waved back, watching him go. He was a sweet boy. (XDD)
She then turned her attention back to the hall and waited for James.
