Kolian listened silently to Wren. When the girl hung up, Kolian handed Rune his phone. She wanted to look now. Kolian wiped her tears that refilled her eyes and started walking back home. If she knew Rune, he'd be there there the moment the sun touched the sky.
Kolian thought about what Wren had said. Possibly memory loss? was that possible? Kolian wondered, what if Lionel forgot about her? The thought sickened her and she kept silent about it, and started thinking. She realized that she couldn't remember how Lionel found out she loved him. She realized she herself had forgotten a few things, but something she remembered for sure was her friends and the ones she loved.
No wonder she couldn't get to the Aurora home as fast as she would've liked previously. She had been lost for a whole 30 minutes, but had eventually found it because she could remember what it looked like. Kolian shuddered at the loss of memory thought. Please, let her Lionel remember her.

Bailey grinned wildly when she said okay, that she'd introduce him. He ignored the fact she had basically called him an idiot, and he stood up, ready to follow her over to the table. Suddenly, his stomach sank. He didn't know this girl, even if he had lived in rhyolite all his life. He didn't know her, and he was going to TALK to her!? what had posessed him to ask Jessica to introduce them again!?
Bailey cursed himself in his head. He wasn't comfortable talking to many girls, so he didn't know how this would turn out. But Holly was just so pretty... maybe she was different from other girls.

Thistle's face lit up at the thought of her bunny getting fixed. She clapped her hands, beaming. "Yeah!" she said, bouncing up and down.
Of course it might be odd for such a young girl to be going over to a stranger's house, but Thistle's strength as a vampire outdid the strength of a full grown man. She would be fine. The only reason she didn't defend herself against the crow was that the crow would snatch the bunny if it went uncovered, and Thistle was terrified of crows as well.

Rune was silent when he took back the phone from Kolian and he was still silent when he walked Kolian back to Lyons. Inside, he could feel himself breaking; everything inside him cracking and threatening to shatter into a million pieces and lose his grip on sanity. Everything Wren had said just now on the phone was one hundred percent true and Rune did not like it one bit. What if they found Lionel's corpse in the woods tomorrow, all beaten up? What if all that remained of Lionel was nothing but ashes? What if Lionel is now still alive but like Wren said, he might be suffering from memory loss and may have forgotten about them. Rune could feel all these heinous thoughts threatening to consume him make him go berserk. "I'll see you in the morning, Kolian." the small boy managed to gasp out before he ran off, away from her, away from the house where his best friend was in half an hour ago before he vanished.

"I don't really live in a house you know..." Nerine trailed off as she left the park with Thistle and began walking down the street. "I don't really have family like you do." The last words had a small hint of sadness in it. She didn't know much about Thistle, but Nerine guessed that she wasn't an orphan like her. Or so she thought. She noticed that all this while Thistle had been holding her hand like how her little sister used to do and if Thistle was fine with it, so was she. Nerine didn't know how Thistle was going to react when she found out that she was an orphan. "You know, shouldn't you like call your parents or something to tell them that you're coming over to my place?" she asked.

Holly stared at her half finished milkshake. At this moment she was really wishing she had some fries to dip into it. She loved doing that, but had completely forgotten to order fries. She sighed a little and went rummaging through her bag.
Jessica walked over to the booth, not looking very happy about it. "Bailey, this is Holly. Holly, Bailey," She said.
Holly looked up from her bag at Jessica and Bailey as she pulled out a book. "I know who he is. Can I help you with something?" She asked.
"Holly, stop being so anti-social. Bailey just wanted me to introduce you two," Jessica said. She rolled her eyes before sitting down in Holly's booth.

Sol was still a bit hurt from the attack earlier that week, but it didn't stop her from leaving the Lyons house. For some reason, she hadn't been able to draw or do anything. She had been thinking about Stephen, and about how he told her that he knew that there was a small spark between them. Her pink hightop converse stepped lightly over the pavement. She wore jeans and a simple white tshirt with red and pink graphic designs all over it. She had a red headband in her hair to hold her brownish hair away from her eyes as she walked.
Sol found herself directed to the Aurora home, and she stood there, looking up at the large blue house. She closed her eyes and returned her eyes to her feet. It had been a week, and yes she had thought about Stephen, but in truth, she couldn't stop thinking about James either. She stood out on the side walk for the longest time, contemplating on whether she should visit Stephen...
Finally, she decided not to. She looked up at the house again. She was too tired of being hurt, and honestly she didn't want to take the chance again. No matter how sweet stephen was, and no matter how easily he could make her fall for him, she felt like she couldn't continue thinking of him like this. She thought of James. Her heart ached badly thinking of him. She wished he'd come back to her, and tell her he didn't care and that he loved her.
Fat chance. Sol closed her eyes and thought about his black hair and his bright green eyes, the scar on his cheek and the piercings on his ears. The way he grinned at her and the way he held her close, the feeling of being loved...
Sol rubbed her arm as if to comfort herself. It was just hurting her more to think of James like that. She should just stop..

Kolian didn't sleep that night. She couldn't rest. She had gone into Lionel's room and laid on his bed, missing him. As much as she tried keeping the bad thoughts out, they flooded her mind with doubt. What if Lionel was dead? What if he didn't remember them? What if... he didn't love her? The last thought always brought tears to her eyes, and made her small body tremble. he had to remember her... she had remembered him, hadn't she?
Kolian hugged herself. The sun was just peeking over the horizon and she got up and went to her room. She changed, brushed her hair so she'd look civil, and not like a freak. She stared at herself in the mirror and her heart sank. What if... She turned away from the mirror and closed her eyes, opening her eyes once more she stepped out of the room and nimbly walked downstairs. Upon reaching the porch, her eyes flickered over to the porch swing that she sat on with Lionel. Kolian sat down to wait for Rune. No use in going anywhere without him. She was wearing her read sweatshirt and jean shorts as well as her red converse. She hugged her knees against her chest and let the porch swing swing back and forth as she waited for Rune. She wanted him to hurry. She missed her lover, her lion.

So she knew who he was? Bailey's heart sank. He didn't know what to say, so he waved dumbly only to have her seem annoyed with their presence. He stood there awkwardly for a few moments longer before taking a seat by Jessica. So, they had been introduced. A period of awkward silence passed, and Bailey glanced at Holly a few times. She was very pretty, and he wondered why he hadn't seen her before.
"How do you know me?" he blurted out before he could stop himself. He shut his mouth again, his cheeks turning a slight red color. In truth, Bailey looked quite adorable at the moment with his pink cheeks and his brown eyes wide and shy. He wanted to get to know Holly, and it was obvious, but he didn't know the first thing about girls.
On top of that, he was so shy that he wanted to get up and run away out of embarrassment. Bailey sat there for a while, just watching her, hoping she didn't think he was a freak and that she'd answer. He glanced at jessica. What did she think of him? He knew she was probably laughing inside at him. He was never good with talking to girls.

Stephen blinked, scowling at his math homework. He hated math. Of course he remembered everything that he had learned and could breeze through it-he just didn't want to. Aislinn came in with a mug of hot blood and set it next to him. "Here," she said, sitting down with her own cup of blood. Both were doing their homework together, as they had three of the same classes.
"Thanks, Ash." Stephen said gratefully, taking a sip. He tapped his pencil on the table impatiently, looking at the blank graph paper.
Aislinn giggled. "No matter how hard you try that papers gonna remain blank." she said, throwing a post it stack at Stephen's head. Stephen neatly dodged it and chucked it right back at Aislinn, who ducked, laughing. 
"Shut up, woman." he said, scowling. "I still have a research paper to do."
Aislinn kept laughing. "So do I, you muppet," she pointed out, going back to her math.
Suddenly Bear, who was sitting beside Aislinn let out a bark and bolted happily out the front door. Aislinn sighed. "That usually means we have a visitor," she said.
"Mhmm." Stephen murmured, writing down his answers. Aislinn got up. "Well, please, don't get up on my account." she said sarcastically before following Bear out. There was a pretty girl out there, standing as if pondering what to do. Bear was bounding towards Sol, barking cheerfully. "Bear!" Aislinn ran down to stop Bear from tackling Sol. "Down! I'm sorry, he's usually so well behaved." Aislinn apologized.
Stephen furrowed his brow, deciding that he couldn't concentrate with all the noise. He walked outside to Aislinn. His eyes lit up considerably when he saw Sol. He smiled. "Sol!" he exclaimed, surprised. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" he asked, coming down to see Sol.

Thistle clung to Nerine's hand as they started walking. It took two of Thistle's walks to even up with Nerine's strides. She kept up easily, though it looked quite cute. Thistle hopped from cement block to cement block, avoiding the cracks. When they came across a hop scotch pattern someone had drawn in the sidewalk with chalk, Thistle couldn't resist and hopped from one square to the next, still holding Nerine's hand. "That's okay." Thistle said, squeezing Nerine's hand, this time for encouragement. "Well, neither do I. My foster parents and sisters are my home." she said simply. It was partially the truth. She considered Callum as her father, and the others as her siblings whom she loved dearly. She glanced up at Nerine. "My parents are fine with my staying out a little. They told me to be home by 9." it was 8, and she had an hour now. "Where do you live?" she asked, still hopping from cement square to square absentmindedly.

The ceiling, Mit and Air was all Rune had for company that night. His bicolored eyes, normally shining with dry humor, had dulled into a dull dark brown and a pea green color. Morbid heinous thoughts flowed into his head like water. To think that Lionel was gone already sent him on a trip of insanity, but Wren's sharp words and hope stood before him before he could lose his mind. A normal twelve year old normally wouldn't have such stress on his mind, but Rune was no mortal. After what seemed like hours laying on his bed, he got up and pulled half an inch of his curtain apart. Dawn had just arrived. He changed into fresh clothes and went out the door. As he was about to pull the front door open, Wren's voice said "Going to look for Lionel eh?"
Rune's hand paused on the doorknob as he glanced over his shoulder. There stood his elder sister; a robe wrapped around her. He nodded. "Like you said." Wren shrugged. "We don't know whether he's alive or not." she said. "But I know that nothing I say will stop you from going to look for him anyway." she sighed. When Rune nodded, she said "Go then" before turning around and disappearing into the kitchen.
Rune literally ran to Lyons, his speed ten times faster than a normal human and was there in seconds. He met no one along the way as he ran. He did pull out his cell and texted Sable, telling him the news. Upon reaching the house, he stowed the phone and noticed the Kolian was sitting on the porch swing, waiting for him. He raised a finger at her to wait before opening the door to Lyons and vanishing into the house. He returned a few minutes later; all of Lionel's drawings in his hands.

"Foster parents huh..." Nerine stayed silent as they walked, smiling and nodding at Thistle as she small girl talked. She smiled with amusement as Thistle hopped from block to block. It was cute, and just like any other ordinary small girl would do. She frowned when Thistle said that her parents allowed her to stay out, but like most, they still gave their children curfew. "An hour should be enough to repair Lola." she said, deliberately avoiding Thistle's question about where she lived. Thistle deserved to see for herself; what kind of person she was though most of her so-called friends knew nothing about her. When they reached her 'home', she could already hear the angry yelling from the small children in there going on inside. She sighed and muttered "Not again" when she heard "I got a hat~ I got a hat~ You can't get it, Tina!" That was soon followed by a "Nerine made me that hat! Give it back! And what's that you're wearing? Did you take her scarf again?" a girl's voice roared. Seconds later, a woman's high pitched voice called "Children! Keep it down!" Nerine sighed heavily and glanced at the plaque over the front door 'Rhyolite Children's Home.'

"This is where I live." Nerine said finally, raising an eyebrow at her. "So, yeah."

((For the next two weeks, I won't be online because I have my PMR exams coming up and it's like seriously important. =( I'm going to try to abstain myself from the computer so that I can focus and study. I'll still be around, but I probably won't post. It's gonna be two critical weeks for me and then after those two weeks, exam time.

Wish me luck gals and I'll be back ASAP. This so-called exam so-called determines my future. Bleh.

Sol looked at bear and smiled a little. She kneeled down and petted the dog affectionately and gently. Her eyes flickered up at Aislinn. "Oh, no it's fine." she said before standing up. "I'm sorry I caused such an excitement." Her words came out stiff and slightly robotic when she spoke. "I'll just be going now." Her eyes, for a brief moment looked past the lovely girl and at the Aurora home. Stephen lived here.
She pushed the thought away and turned, then started walking off slowly. Maybe she was tossing away a chance, and maybe she was loosing her opportunity, but she didn't seem to care. And if she did, it wasn't obvious.

Sol turned as Stephen came out, and shouted her name. She could hear the excitement in his voice and her heart sank. He was excited, to see her... Sol waved meekly and stood there, not moving any closer to stephen though her legs willed her to. Finally, she gave in and took a few steps forward. "Hi..." she said, when she was close enough for Stephen to hear.

Stephen stopped, furrowing his brow. She seemed so...withdrawn. He realized that she really was scared. Not shy, or timid....really scared. He sighed inwardly, before glancing at Aislinn, who smiled at Sol. "Nice to meet you, or whatever this little meeting is." she said, her eyes kind. She nodded to Sol before going gracefully back up the stairs with a reluctant Bear following behind.
Stephen stood, wondering what to do, before his body acted without his mind. He stepped forward and engulfed her in a bear hug. He smiled. "Wonderful to see you too, Sol, how am I doing? Oh, thanks for asking, I'm doing well!" his eyes twinkled, showing he was obviously joking. "How're you doing since the ice rink?" he asked, his eyes smiling once more before becoming sober and concerned.

This was utterly uncomfortable for Holly. She hated Jessica and she barely knew this kid. All she really knew about him was he went to her school, they had some classes together, and that he was pretty popular. It was obviously to Holly why he didn't know her or realize she even existed. She stared down at her drink as they awkward silence continued when she didn't answer his question right away. Holly sighed a little before looking at Bailey.
"We go to school together. We even have a few classes together," Holly said. The blank look still on her face. "What do you want? I know you're good with your school work, so it's obviously not help with your homework. If it's to try and get me to come to some football game, forget it. I hate football."

Sol was caught up in the bear hug and her cheeks reddned a little. Her eyes flickered up to meet Stephen's, and she carefully laid her head on his chest. She frowned when she heard no heartbeat. "Okay." she responded. She had healed well, so there were no cuts over her chest anymore. Her eyes looked up into Stephen's again. "How's your head?" her voice was so soft and pathetic, and so sad.
Sol didn't mean to sound this way, but she just did. Her voice just portrayed how she felt, and how her heart ached. she knew deep down if James came running back, no matter how much pain he had put her through, she would jump into his arms and love him until he died. Stephen...
Sol closed her eyes and held Stephen tightly as he held her. She didn't understand why she couldn't just move on. She knew she was afraid, but Stephen seemed better than James... somehow, couldn't he be? She was sick to her stomach with these thoughts, and every time she was alone or with Stephen, or actually with anyone she thought of these things.
