Roleplay

It was hard to see her point in the dark, but his eyes had been so intently focused on her dark silhouette he'd caught it. And he let out a long breath he didn't know he'd been holding. Looking over he saw the latter easily and shuffled over to climb. He thought briefly what would he have done if she had walked back in. His threat was not hallow by no doubts. But that didn't mean that it wouldn't have been hard to follow through with.
At the top of the balcony he had to swing over the wet railing but he hadn't noticed that in-particular really. He looked at her, she wasn't looking at so he couldn't see her tears he felt guilty still but his anger had not left him. And the more he thought about it the more his angry grew. She had no right to be mad at him. The thought never got close to him the reason she might be mad. What him at Alice looked like or any of that. All he saw was an angry girl who in his opinion explanation or not had no right to be angry. But he wasn't here to demand an apology he remembered with a sad after thought. Looking out at the moon he leaned over the balcony his back now turned to her.
"Alice isn't my girlfriend. I know she kissed me I know what you saw, but we aren't together." His tone remained mad but he wasn't as harsh.

Vivian met Loretta's eyes with no hatred, no jealousy. Only sadness. Loretta was so beautiful, it just made Vivian feel small. Looking from Callum to Loretta, Vivian closed her eyes. To an outsider it would appear she was praying as hard as she could. When she opened her eyes, one could clearly tell. Her prayer was not answered. Vivian managed a small "I'll leave--" her voice broke off before she could say anything else. She didn't trust her voice right now to stay cool and confident. Vivian was about to head for the living room, but she realized that Loretta would be leaving. She didn't want Loretta to see her crying.
So much for trying to take time to mend her heart. There it went again, fragile as wet paper, tearing easily in two. Vivian heaved a sigh, and quickly went to the staircase. She would have gone to her room, but it seemed like such a long ways away. She stopped at the very top of the staircase, her head spinning, stars exploding in front of her eyes. She collapsed on the top stair, leaning her head against the railing. Casper gave a small meow, curling up in her lap. Slowly, Vivian was lulled to sleep by Casper's purring and she fell back against the railing, her arms that were around Casper falling slack.

Aimee could see him climb up. She watched him swing himself over and she wiped her eyes as he turned his back on her. She stood still, and continued to stare at his back. As he explained himself her heart sank. She didn't know why, but she realized it was because of his tone. She felt as if her shattered heart had been glued back together somehow and was still slowly mending now that she knew the truth. And that truth made her relaxed. All this time she had been sulking because she thought the boy she loved, loved someone else.
Aimee hesitated before walking over. Her bare feet were soundless as she stopped, maybe a foot from his back. She looked away and up at the sky, wiping her face one more time to get the feeling of the tears to go away. How could she be so stupid? Aimee looked at him and slowly came to stand beside him. He was mad at her. Duh, anyone would be. She had jumped to conclusions and now here he was, mad at her and explaining himself when he really shouldn't, because she wasn't his girlfriend.
Her eyes traced over him and she was silent for a long time. Her hand lifted and she touched his shoulder gently. She then looked out at the trees, standing straight up and just looking. "I'm stupid." she whispered. "You must hate me now." she murmured. She looked straight ahead still, her fingers pressing into his shoulder gently. "You shouldn't have to explain anything to me... heh... it's not like we're together." her light laugh had been humorless and sad. She moved her hand away from his shoulder.
Aimee held her hands in front of her and stared down at her hands. She was silent after what she said to him. Could she explain to him now why she had overracted? Not likely. It wasn't like she could tag on, 'Oh, and the reason I'm mad is because I love you to ha ha.' As if. She would have liked to let it slide out, but it wasn't that easy. She wouldn't lie to Quill either. If he wanted to know, and if he asked her she would tell him. If not, it could be left unsaid until she was really ready.

"Is there anything that I can do to help you?"
The phrase bit into Loretta it was in no way a familiar phrase. Last time she told a man that they slammed their fist into a wall, yelled at her to stay. To change them too they could work it out. And the time before that... "Um no I'm good." It wasn't per say a lie. But the help would help her make one trip to the cab instead of two. But she didn't want to ask for help. She was leaving, she knew how he felt he wasn't supposed to react like that. Callum was different from the other men she knew, and thinking about them... Well she... she cut off the thought.
Trip? She looked up to correct him when he asked the question. And again she closed her eyes for a second before looking at him. "I'm not planning on coming back," she told him. There was things she had to work through and they couldn't be done here. Coming back wasn't an option at the moment and she wouldn't give Callum false hope. She wanted him to move on maybe date Vivian, and he hope wouldn't give him that.
When Vivian said she'd leave guilt truck Loretta, "no don't do that." She told her.

"I don't hate you I-" he turned his head to look at her the concern that he'd lost her overwhelming. I'm in love with you, the words almost seemed to hand in the air as he looked at her. Glancing away so he could talk he mumbled, "girls are confusing."
At the second part at least she was aware of the bizarreness as well. Because he really didn't feel like feeling guilty every-time he saw Alice, they weren't together. And although the phrase itself was almost a little painful to think they weren't. Her hand rested on his shoulder and he started at the moon. She was the best friend he had in this town and he wasn't going to mess it up with asking her out. She probably didn't even like him like that anyway. Still Alice knew... it just means I'm going to have to try harder... what was that supposed to mean anyway!
How much he wanted to just to ask Aimee what bizarreness had brought her to this. Something even an inkling to understand the ever changing women species. But he didn't. Because he didn't want her to ask more about Alice. He would give Aimee that she was his ex-girlfriend but no more. She didn't need the stupid dramatization of the rest. And hopefully given he didn't ask what in the world was going through her head she wouldn't push more about Alice.

Callum looked at Loretta and nodded when she said she didn't need help. He frowned when Vivian left and suddenly he felt like all this was his fault. His eyes fell to look at his feet then back at Loretta. He bit his lower lip to hold back anything that could possibly pour out when she said she wasn't coming back. "Why?" the word slipped out and it was soft and weak, as if he was afraid of this. Yeah, he wouldn't keep them from leaving, but why did she want to go? "Is it my fault?" he whispered, his voice low. "The last time... you talked to me... I tried to..." His voice trailed off, and he felt like a child instead of the coven leader. He felt like a child explaining to someone that he had tried to change his ways in order to make her happy.
Instead of coming by her all the time as he had before, he had stayed away so that she wouldn't feel bad, he'd at least hoped. Girls were something else. One girl he had waited too long to tell then she got engaged, and this girl... he had said so too soon? He didn't understand any of it and as he looked at her he felt like he should, and that if he did, he wouldn't have made her so upset.
He'd made Vivian upset because he didn't love her back, and he'd made Loretta upset because... well he loved her. He pressed his lips in a thin line, his dark blue eyes looking at her desperately, shouting STAY WOMAN. but, all the while he kept silent. This was her choice to make and he wasn't going to interfere.

(( both my boys are getting... BLAH. I want to enter the roleplay myself and whack them upside the heads and say "GET A GRIP MORONS" 8D; they infuriate me right now. Especially Matthew. XDD; ))

Aimee looked at Quill for a long time. He didn't hate her. A smile appeared on her lips when he said girls are confusing. "We are." she agreed. Boys could lay out things in plain sight. Their emotions, feelings, everything it seemed. While girls got all dramatic, boys could just deal with it. Aimee looked at his hand and she wanted to take it, but she resisted. "I don't hate you, I....?" she looked at him expectantly. "What were you going to say?" Her voice was soft, she seemed better now that she knew he wasn't with Alice.
Aimee was glad he hadn't had asked why she had overreacted, though part of her wanted him to, so she could get her feelings out then and there. No, she wasn't ready but something tugged at her heart and shouted, just tell him! Aimee wasn't afraid of ruining friendships by telling someone how she felt, but she was afraid they would look at her like she was crazy, or even laugh as if they thought she was joking.
Aimee had never had a boyfriend, and she was inexperienced when it came to the fact that she wanted to tell a boy she really liked him - loved him even - and wanted to be his girlfriend. She set her hands on the railing of the balcony, and slowly... she put her hand over his and looked at his face. Look at me. She thought, Look at me and tell me you love me.

Loretta bit her lip looking at him she wasn't afraid anymore. This was hard, but standing here like two awkward sad morons wasn't helping anything. "Indirectly yes," she said. Looking at him she realized something she hadn't before he looked at her the same. Yes him and the others handled things differently but they felt the same. Callum didn't punch walls, he was the one man who listened when she said no. Everything was different and it had changed everything. "I need to go back to Europe and sort some things through that I can't here. Set some feelings to rest..." at that the cab honked out front and Loretta looked up at the stairs to see Hattie holding a trunk three times her size in the air.
"Here," she said chucking it with strength a girl her size should never had.
"Thanks," Loretta said as she caught it. Pulling it outside she waved to the cab driver to show she saw him and to start the meter. Then came back inside to grab the other two bags. "Bye," she told him her hand feeling for the pocket in the first backpack with her money in it.

Callum looked at Loretta sadly when she responded with a 'yes'. It had been, 'Indirectly, yes.' but it still hurt. At least she was honest. Callum looked up when he saw Hattie and his eyes widened a bit, as if thinking, Don't hit me. He sighed watched it soar through the air so that Loretta could catch it. When she did, he walked after her and held the door open.
"Bye..." his voice was soft and sad. Don't leave me. Was his only thought. But, she had to sort things out, and if that would make her feel better he should feel better too. Go to Europe, go there and make yourself feel better. Sort out all your feelings and make thinks okay again. And when you're ready to come back, We'll all be here waiting for you.

Quill looked at her hand on his, slowly he rotated it so that it wasn't hers sitting on top of his but his holding hers. Of coarse she would pick up on that. "I think you amazing," he finished looking at her. "Your the closest friend I have in this town and I'm really glad you didn't go through those doors," he said referring to the option he gave her. The one that could have ended their friendship. He looked at her eyes she was so beautiful. Alice was beautiful as well. She was girlie and feminine and everything any guy would want. But Aimee was any guys dream to, and when he looked at her his heart sored. When he looked at Alice his heart quickened but out of nerves because it didn't feel as it did with Aimee. When Alice kissed him it felt good but it didn't have meaning. Not to him. He wondered looking at Aimee what it would feel like to kiss her.
He glanced away at the thought. His hand was tingling where it held hers that was enough.
