"Will you quit following me?" Rune grumbled, walking along the street, PSP in hand as usual. He looked pissed, having being beaten by the game multiple times. His fingers tapped the buttons feverishly, getting his character to dodge the oncoming bullets that were being fired by the enemy. Grand Theft Auto was awesome and yes, he knew full well that he physically looked way underaged to play it but did Rune give a damn? Hell no.

A soft ball of ginger fur followed alongside him, blinking up at him through bright green orbs. The cat flicked an ear and snorted, clearly ignoring the boy's request for him to shoo. The kid was interesting- no way in hell was he leaving now. Rune snorted at his game in triumph, having beaten the stupid gangsters at last and he switched it off, obviously planning on playing it again later.

"Don't you have anything else better to do than to follow me?" he asked the cat, who simply sneezed at Rune in reply. Rune rolled his eyes and walked on, frowning when he found himself at the Merrill house. He had no intention of coming here in the first place- what the hell was he doing here? He was about to leave when something caught his eye. There was something, no, someone sleeping on a tree in front of the big house. Upon closer inspection, Rune saw that it was Matthew. Stephen number two. he thought dryly.

A mischievous smirk lit up his face as he walked over; the cat by his feet keeping up with him steadily. Rune raised a foot- careful not to accidentally kick the cat instead and kicked the tree, with strength that would have been impossible had he still been human. The tree shook and Rune kicked it again, hellbent on kicking the sleeping vampire on the tree off it.

Matthew was snoring softly, and quite peacefully in the tree as morning came. He didn't wake as the sunlight streamed down onto his face, or when a squirrel sat on his tummy to look at the sleeping boy. He was out. Matthew did, however, wake when he felt the tree being kicked.
His eyes darted open, soon realizing he was airborne before he hit the ground with a crash. "Ugghhh..." Matthew rolled over on his stomach and held himself. "What the--" he looked up to see Rune and he grumbled angrily. "You." he said menacingly. Quite suddenly, Matthew was on his feet, grabbing Rune by his ankles and holding the kid upside down. He was glowering at the boy, but a hint of amusement was in his eyes.
"Who seriously goes around kicking people outta trees?" Matthew grumbled, shaking Rune a bit and holding the kid away from his body so that even Rune's fist couldn't reach him. Matthew glanced down and saw the cat, "New friend to replace Mit or something?" Matthew stared at the cat. What a strange person. He repelled people but apparently attracted animals.
Matthew shook him Rune again.

Quill's eyes met hers as she talked, it felt good that she was concerned but still he didn't want her to feel sorry. She didn't want him to look at him that way. To think of the things she had and compare them to his life. He wanted a friend like Gunter who listened when times were so tough they needed to be said. But other wise kept quiet played dumb and distracted him into happier thoughts.
He justed hoped that Aimee wouldn't think of him different because of it. Slithering his hand away from her's he looked up at the sky counting a few of the stars around the big dippers handle before resting them back at Aimee. For lack of works he smirked but said nothing more because well there wasn't much more, was there?

((Ugh I had this typed four times. One time I deleted it and the second and third by internet crashed. I've given up on it! I'm sorry it isn't all that great of a reply. But I'm tired of working on it, I sorry.))

Aimee watched as Quill took his hand away from her's and she fell silent. She looked up at him, his eyes on the stars and she widthdrew her own hand as well. She couldn't help but feel disappointed that he had taken his hand away, because she liked the way it felt to hold his hand.
Aimee looked at him and smiled, then looked up at the sky. "do you know anything about constellations?" she asked softly. Aimee's eyes searched the sky, obviously not seeing any constellations. Aimee didn't know any constellations.
She messed with the headband again.

Rune doubled over, laughing as Matthew crashed down from the tree. He almost tripped over because of the cat at his feet, who angrily hissed at him. He ignored it and would have begun rolling on the floor laughing if Matthew hadn't grabbed him by his ankles and swung him upside down. Rune was used to it by hanging upside down trees the whole time, but Rune was fully aware of the skin contact. Even through his jeans, his ankles burned angrily. His smile and laughter vanished immediately and he shouted. "I go around kicking people out of trees." he spat, his face twisting in pain. "No, this is not a replacement for Mit. You're hurting me- put me down!" He even struggled a little to show his emphasis. The cat hissed angrily again, but this time not to Rune, but to Matthew. It even went over and clawed Matthew's leg.

Sure but lets do it tomorrow I have some things I need to get finished right now and I don't think that if I roleplay it'll be very fair to you cause it wont have my full attention.

Matthew glared at Rune but then his eyes softened, putting the kid down gently. He noticed the cat and shooed it away, putting his hands into his pockets and heading for the entrance of the Merrill home. He didn't have the heart to be playing around.
Matthew thought about Fern, and wished she would be happy and filled with smiles again. If she was, then maybe he could feel happy too. Matthew opened the door to his house and looked around. No one was there. He went over to the couch and flopped down, thinking about his entire life, from birth until now.
Everything seemed so sad. He thought about the misfortune of the others', their unfortunate lives, their unfortunate deaths. Matthew looked at his life. He had a wonderful life, filled with prosperity and friends. What else could he ever ask for? His past wasn't awful, it was grand and happy. He was presently in a nice home with all his friends, he had a beautiful girlfriend and an amazing best friend.
Matthew smiled to himself as he reflected on this. Sure he had broken a heart, a heart he had cared for from the day it was given. But, look on the bright side. Fern was a great person, and she could easily find someone. He wasn't the best for her, or for Grace. For the longest time, Matthew could never imagine himself taking a relationship seriously, but here he was anyway.

It was a regular day after school, and as the school cleared out, Aimee remained. "Is that good enough?" Aimee asked, glancing over at her teacher. She had stayed behind to help out, and clean up a little. "Perfect." the woman said with a kind smile. "Thank you so much for helping." she said.
Aimee grinned and shook her head, "No problem." she gathered her things, putting her backpack on her back and gathering up her binder and what little papers she had. "I'll see you tomorrow." Aimee said before she left the classroom. Walking down the hallway, Aimee was headed for the doors when her papers slipped out of the bottom of her binder. The white papers were scattered everywhere and Aimee sighed. Great.
Crouching down, she began to pick up the papers, when someone kneeled before her and began helping her too. Looking up, Aimee met eyes with a boy, one of Quill's many friends from the football team. "Hey there." He said and continued helping her. "Ah, hi, thanks." Aimee said and smiled, gathering her papers and standing up.
"No prob. Hey, you're Aimee Lastel right?" he asked, looking her up and down once. Aimee nodded, "Yes." she said and smiled, "Why?" The boy grinned and scratched the back of his head. "You were going to come to the game later today, weren't you?" he asked. "Oh! Well... I could if you'd like." she said, then she thought of Quill. His parents never showed up in the stands to cheer him on, but that didn't mean his friends couldn't be there.
"Great! We're just practicing in the field for now, come watch or something." he suggested. Aimee laughed lightly at the invitation. "Okay, sure, why not." She smiled as he led the way, excited that he had gotten Aimee Lastel to go to a school sports game. He led her outside and to their football field. "You can sit in the bleachers, I'll be out there.." He gestured to the field where the other football players were. "Okay." Aimee smiled and gave a charming wave as he ran off. She climbed up onto the bleachers and stuffed her binder into her backpack to watch.
She was slightly amused by how the boy continued to try and show off, to impress her. On the side of the football field, closest to her, the cheerleaders were practicing their cheer, which, didn't seem to work out well. Aimee was watching them, soon enough, because cheerleading was similar to gymnastics, or, they had a little bit of Gymnastics in it.
Aimee smiled when the girls couldn't do a move that she could. "Aimee!" One of the girls stood at the bottom of the bleachers, dressed in her cheer uniform. "You're going to help us out and get dressed like us, riiiiggghhhttt?" she asked, a silly grin on her face. Aimee laughed. She was glad that some of her friends didn't care much for her hanging out with Quill.
"You know I look awful in those outfits." Aimee said, "besides, I don't know the routine and I'm not technically a cheerleader." she said and smiled. The girl rolled her eyes and looked at her friends who laughed. "You looked pretty when you tried out with me! and you were number one on the list when they put up who they wanted." She put her hands on her hips. "And knowing you, you could memorize the entire routine in five minutes." she said.
Aimee sighed a bit. "If I help you this one time, will you stop bugging me about it?" Aimee asked. "Maybe." the girl replied with a cute smile. "If and only if you make us look amazing with your gymnast skills." Aimee sighed and thought it over. Her friend went off on her when she said she didn't want to be a cheerleader - right after she auditioned. And now she was still going on, asking for help when they really didn't need any. She figured that a maybe was good enough, so she tossed her backpack on the ground by their bags and walked down the bleachers.
"You guys are going to pay." she said. All of the girls smiled at Aimee, clearly sensing the empty threat. They ushered her into the girls locker room, and found her a cheer uniform that fit perfectly. They fixed her up, and let her wear the headband on her wrist. "You look fabulous~" One of her friends sang, then Aimee huffed. "I look weird." she said, messing with the skirt. "I'm not meant to wear skirts." she said.
They rolled their eyes and went back outside, the leader dragging Aimee along. "I bet the boys'll notice how cute you look in the cheer outfit~" she said and giggled, "the game isn't for another hour, but they're all practicing out there because their coach is intent on winning the next game." she said. "With Quill, he believes they going to soar to the finals." She smiled, overly peppy which was something Aimee couldn't copy.
Once outside, Aimee felt a few pairs of boy's eyes on her. "Okay I'm out." Aimee turned around but her friend yanked her arm. "Nope." she smirked a little and dragged Aimee over towards the rest of the girls. "I hate you." Aimee said, looking at her friend but not honestly meaning a word. "No, you love me." her friend said and giggled.
