Matthew sniffled a little and held her in his arms. "I'm sorry..." he whispered. "so so sorry..." he rubbed her back. She was such a wonderful little thing, and now she was leaving. He sniffled a little again and pulled away. "please say bye to me before you leave..." he said dully, wiping his eyes again and not making eye contact. He couldn't stand seeing her anymore, but he would because he still loved her.
Matthew quickly turned and went upstairs, his eyes filled with water. He looked around and it didn't take long for him to find Callum in his room. "Callum!" Matthew went over to his best friend and fell to his knees, finally letting out all the tears he had kept in before. "Matthew what happened...?" Callum frowned and put a hand on his friend's head, ruffling his hair affectionately. "I'm a stupid idiot..."
Matthew soon began to pour out all that had happened, who he had chosen, and everything. Callum listened and watched when Matthew stood, becomming furious as he spoke. "it's not like i'm in your situation either! Your situation is so easy to get out of!" he said aloud. Callum frowned. "easy?" he asked, tensing a bit.
"it's not easy to get out of it, Matthew." he said, his voice thick and stern. Matthew had lost it momentarily, and at this point he wasn't thinking straight at all. "yes it is! Loretta doesn't love you!" he exclaimed, and Callum flinched. "on the other hand, Vivian adores you! Vivian is beautiful and smart and kind, if I were you I'd go ahead and choose Vivian! Loretta doesn't love you, and if she did there wouldve been something by now!"
callum sat there. Taking this. His eyes were on the floor and his grip tightened on the blankets of the bed. "heck, I bet if we walk over to her room right now, and ask, she's not even your friend!" this hit callum hard in the chest and he frowned deeper. Not even her friend. "so just face it! She doesn't love you or remotely care for you apparently. So if I were you I'd choose Vivian! That'd be the easiest thing, and plus she actually cares for you and will love you back. In my situation both girls love me and I love them."
Callum's head hung, his hair casting a shadow over his eyes. He stared at the floor. Matthew stared at callum and slowly calmed down. "oh..." he frowned, realizing what he had done. "callum I'm sorry... I didn't mean... I was mad..." callum stood up and Matthew stumbled back. "maybe you're right about Loretta. Maybe she doesn't love me and doesn't even want to be my friend, but I care and love her as much as I do everyone else here." he stated. "she is the only girl that I can't get through to, the only girl's heart I can't have so that I have, not only her respect but her love."
callum was stiff, and sad. "she is an incredible girl but I can't have her love." he was silent for a moment before he continued. "everyone here loves me, I would think. They don't avoid me like she does. She is the only one I can't say is my friend, at least. Maybe you're right Matthew, but as much as I care for her I can't say I can give up. I want at least friendship. If this kills me then you will be right. I should have chose Vivian."
Matthew was silent as he looked at Callum. What had he done?

Aimee came back in time to watch the body go into the flames. She looked away. No matter how many she killed, she felt that the would all be filled with pain. She looked over at Quill, a little bit lightheaded. "it's nothing that can't wait." she said. She smiled suddenly, realizing he sounded almost like her the day before. She looked away from him and at the human bodies.
She slowly picked one up at a time and put it into the fire. All these people... And their families... She felt sick at the thoughts. When all the bodies, animals and humans alike, were burning, she walked over to stand near Quill.
It had been an awful fight, and as she watched the flames take over the bodies she looked away. She couldn't watch this all again. She looked away until the fire began to dull down. She looked up and noticed the bodies had all been burned to ash. She killed the fire and turned to quill. "let's go, it's really late and I'm sleepy..." she smiled a little at him. and dizzy she added in her head.

I'm such an idiot. Fern wanted to scream when Matthew left. She felt her vision begin to blur and Fern raised a hand, surprised to see that she was crying. She wiped her eyes furiously and fled from the living room, as though someone had decided to come down and put a curse on it. She ran up the stairs, three at a time and flew past the other rooms, not bothering to give them a second look at the moment. Normally she would peek in and gatecrash, but Fern was too upset at the moment to even think straight. She ran until she stood in front of the door that led into the room that Cecil and Matthew shared. Without hesitation, she raised two fists and rapped on it angrily as you would a drum.

Cecil sleepily walked over and opened the door and he immediately froze, seeing the look on Fern's face. She looked as though she was ready to explode into tears. He could already tell that something had happened to her that had made her into this. Fern raced in and launched herself into his arms, seeking comfort from the one place she knew that she was sure to get; her brother's arms.

"It's over." Fern said, shaking her head and clinging to him tightly, tears running down her face at last. "He's chosen Grace. I knew it but..." Her voice broke. "I'm leaving for home soon. With Viv. I need to get out of here." She couldn't go on.

Cecil frowned at her. "Do you want me to come?" he asked gently, looking sad. Fern was leaving. Without him, but he knew that he had to stay to keep her updated. Fern shook her head vigorously. "You need to keep the fort running while I'm away." she chuckled weakly.

Fern was deeply asleep on Cecil's bed, obviously stressed and tired out from the whole ordeal. Not even a thunderstorm or anyone's yelling could wake her up now. Cecil took one last look at his sister before leaving the room and shutting the door softly behind him.

"Loretta doesn't love you, " the words if it had not been for her name stopped Loretta dead in the hallway. Her hair still short from the hair cut she received while away was pulled in a little side pony tied in a bow. Little ringlet curls sticking out in random places. That was harsh... was the only thought that passed through her head.
"Heck, I bet if we walk over to her room right now, and ask, she's not even your friend!"
Yes well that wasn't Callum's fault that she had problems! And she had come to think of Callum as a friend, so they was even relativity true.
"So just face it! She doesn't love you or remotely care for you apparently. So if I were you I'd choose Vivian! There was only one thing that hadn't stopped Loretta from barging in right there and putting a stop to this vicious torment, and that was that she agreed. Callum should choose Vivian she was better for him and he couldn't sit around waiting for her to give in. Because she didn't believe she could. And if it took these vicious lies that she didn't care about him to make Callum to just that, than fine. Fine she didn't even care that her name was mud.
"Oh..." he frowned, realizing what he had done. "Callum I'm sorry... I didn't mean... I was mad..." No Loretta shook her head mad or not the idiot had hit the head on the nail. Her thoughts switching, she was the selfish bitch of the house and Callum best realize it now.
"Maybe you're right about Loretta." Damn straight, Loretta sped up down the hall and went into her room closing the door tightly behind her. She had to leave.
She hurried to her bed, pulling out suitcase after suit case and spreading them on top of it. Then going to her drawers she started piling them in. When her door clicked open she froze.
"Loretta listen I-" it was Hattie and almost mirroring Loretta's motion she froze jaw dropping. Having come to Loretta's room to apologize Hattie's soft attitude was soon changing. "What are you doing?" she demanded shutting the door behind them so they wouldn't have any eavesdroppers.
"Leaving," Loretta said meeting her coldly.
"No your not," Hattie said coming over and grabbing Loretta's hand with strength a girl with her looks should never have.
"You can't stop me," Loretta said swiping her arm away.
"I'm not letting you go out and kill yourself!" Hattie said and Loretta froze.
"I wasn't planning to-"
"To hell your weren't!" Hattie spat grabbing Loretta's arm and pushing her to the ground. "Do you seriously think that your existence is that bad! Snap out of it!" If Hattie was the violent type she would have slapped her. But alas Hattie wasn't, she was the verbal I'll cut you down til you cry type. "As long as you are thinking this way you are no mentally sane in my book. And until you are sane I am making you my responsibility, don't you dare think you can leave this town without my knowing. Spiritually and physically!"
Somewhere in all that a few tears had come to Loretta's eyes but she nodded. To many thoughts running through her head at the moment she couldn't possibly be angry.

((If you can't tell by Hattie's demeanor a conversation like this has happened taken place before. Though no never to this level of extreme... Man this got me feeling rather dark...))

Quill scowled in response to her comment but nodded accepting it with some ease. But that didn't stop him from placing the bodies in the fire a little faster. "Alright," he nodded surprised to find despite the pending darkness he knew exactly the direction they'd been. Truth be told he wanted nothing more than to get back and redress his wounds and take a look at Aimee's. Surely people unaware of their occupation must think the both of them insane. Having a day were they are completely untouched the next scratched and bruised.

callum heard the running of feet and he held his breath. "that was her." he whispered. Matthew looked up at Callum. "I'm sorry..." he whimpered. "no... You're tired, and stressed. Go to bed." Callum left the room and went to Loretta's. He could hear Hattie yelling and he frowned. Loretta... He knocked on her door.
Matthew sniffled and walked out of Callum's room. He went to his own, and when he saw Fern in Cecil's bed, he left it. He went outside and climbed a tree, sleeping in the branches. He had made everything worse. He never should have been turned into a vampire. Never.

Hattie: I'm not scary

Ahh Regan would've hit her. Quill probably would've hit her if she was a guy. He wouldn't hit a girl expecily one that looks five... Poor Loretta's not a hitter when it comes to herself. If that was someone else Hattie was tormenting she would have done something.

Aimee looked at Quill and took his hand. She felt the need for some comfort, and her big pirate wasn't here. "lead the way back?" she asked quietly, handing him the flashlight. I was dark outside, and quieter. She was feeling exhausted, more and more so by the second. She felt it was because of her scrapes, but she couldn't be sure. Aimee leaned her head on Quill's shoulder as they had last night.

Hattie sighed and went to the door she opened it slowly. Callum her eyes softened, "she's fine. Now please, go your of no help to be here." She moved out of the room to stand in front of him careful to click the door closed behind her hoping he didn't see the bags on the bed. Callum had a right to be concerned Hattie knew very well how harsh she could sound. But of the many things she wasn't sure of at the moment there was one she was. And that was that he was a rather good cause to this she had to deal with and therefore she wanted him no where near Loretta currently. She'd have to thank him and Matthew though, their little ordeal in the other room ((She'd be eavesdropping yes. But she hadn't know Loretta was to.)) had finally expanded her old theory to why Loretta was like this. And finding clues for reasons Loretta did anything was hard enough.

Quill took the flashlight and nodding. Smirking when he found his little X. At the tent he let go of Aimee's hand and unzipped the tent. Inside he scooted his sleeping bag further from Aimee's now that there was room to do so with Jame's gone. It also allowed him to sit and be able to go through his bag. He pulled out pajamas which was really just plaid pants opposed to his jeans and his signature white V neck T. He also pulled out his bandages for his back which should have been replaced every night anyway and another flashlight to lighten up the tent. He would've suggested a fire but it brought back to many memories from well just a few minutes earlier.

Callum frowned, watching the door close and not being able to glimpse at Loretta. He looked at Hattie and, though he felt Loretta wasn't fine, he trusted this little girl. "if you say so..." he said, a little bit distant. He gave a small sigh and stepped back. "tell her I'm sorry she had to hear any of that... Matthew lost his temper." callum said quietly. "and... I'm sorry, if I offended her as well. Callum bowed his head a bit.
He missed the days with Loretta when he talked with her, just talked. Then that day he had gone shopping with her and Hattie. He missed it all. He decided to bury these triangles once and for all. He would not love another girl, and he would not try to get Loretta to love him. He would make Matthew calm down, and everything could Be okay.
Just a little more time, then Matthew would be happy with Grace, Fern would be normal and feel better once again, and he would have no one, as it should be and had been for years. He sighed a little and walked away, "good night Hattie." he said and went to his room. Matthew was gone. He got onto his bed and laid down, his arms folded behind his head. Everything would be okay, he just had to help them all one by one.

Aimee walked into the tent as well. She zipped it back up, but halfway for now. She got her bag and took out her pajamas, which consited of blue, light colored sleeping shorts and a tshirt that fit a bit snugly. Aimee looked at Quill. "I have a first aid kit." she said. "turn around, let me change your bandages for you." she said with a tiny smile.
It was the hardest thing to bandage and clean your own wounds, especially when your wounds happened to be in a place you can't reach, nor see very well. Aimee wanted to be like the nurse, and though blood continued to escape from her back, she decided not to deal with that at the moment.
When she thought about her back and her situation more thuroughly, she realized she would have to ask Quill to help her. In doing that he could see her topless. She wondered if James was here, would she ask him instead. Well, no. James was like a brother, but they weren't that close yet. She wondered how they were going to change as well. She laughed at herself in her head. This was a crazy night.

"Okay," Hattie nodded watching him go. After he left and was out of ear shot she muttered a low, "wet towel." She of coarse didn't mean it but... gah. She rubbed her head she was such a bickering old lady. Finding faults in everyone, next she'll slap a baby or something. Slumping down the stairs she went to get something to drink and probably bring up to Loretta. After she was going to go plot some prank something to make her laugh and feel carefree. Then she'd make an outfit to go with the mood. Something to make her feel how old she looked.

"No," Quill shook his head, "you first. Now let me see those wounds," he said referring to the ones on her arms first. ((You said there were scratches there, right?)) He couldn't believe she'd actually go and tend to him first. He was fine the blood had stopped a while ago. Hers on the other hand were a different story.
