Roleplay

Aimee looked at Quill, and for a long time she could really see the turmoil in his heart and mind just by the way his eyes looked. She read plenty of books, but his eyes by far was the easiest read. "You taught yourself to ride a bike?" Aimee asked, her eyes widening a bit. She always had her mom or dad to teach her, and when they were unavailable, she made her brother teach her.
Driving in France was dangerous, therefore most people rode bikes, scooters, took the subway, anything to avoid cars. Only tourists and certain people used cars to get everywhere. Aimee wasn't one of those people. She remembered the day her dad bought her the bike, the day he put the training wheels on, and the day her big brother almost broke her bike taking the training wheels off.
"My dad, mom, and brother helped me learn..." she said, looking ahead a bit. Her eyes then turned back to Quill. "What else?" she asked quietly. She didn't want to pry and stuff, but she did want to know more about him, and she really did want to be there for him if anything bad happened. It wasn't like Aimee to stand by while her friend was hurt, or being made fun of. If she was going to be your friend, she was going to be your absolute best friend that she could possibly be.

I agree Riri every character hold true to something about the author. Some how, like Loretta. There is very little I can tie from Loretta to myself besides feelings. And very slim feelings to. Times I'd been hurt by people, times I pushed people away. Times I felt alone. All were very small scale mind you, but I remember them even if they were me being a dramatic little kid.

All the names I get for my characters are from internet and baby name books. Sometimes I love names but have a certain person in my head whose personality I can't get out. For roleplay characters I see a picture and I find a name. Then I create the character and if it doesn't fit I change it. Thomas had a few name changes but I can't remember them they were so early on into his development.
For my stories every character starts development without a name or appearance. Then I search for a name. Often they'll have one long into the story until I find one that hits them on the dot. I'm very finicky about names for my characters, haha.

(( x3 I usually choose names of people I care about, names I like, and Names that mean something personally to me. I choose a name I like, and sometimes I'll reuse a name from a character that never found life ono but, usually I use names from people I know. I always call the Real Callum by his full name, and once in seventh grade I called him Cal. XD because, in the forum with Azzy and Cupcake, he was always Cal. XD; it was kind of funny.

I always start off with a name or picture. Sometimes I'll be browsing Model mayhem, and I'll see this really good-looking picture for a guy. Or this pretty picture that would fit a girl. And if I look through my characters, and it doesn't fit for any of them, I'll usually still want to use and and so I create a character. x3 that's only if I create it spontaneously.
However, if I plan on a character, Name usually comes first. Names do change, like if I don't like it anymore, and there's a better name I'll go with that. XD Names always give me an impression of what someone looks like. For example, there was this really weird name Xheill, that my friend used. It was a made up name but it made me think of a really creepy guy with silver hair. x3

Ahah, ditto Fiona and Panda. x3 It's normally the name that comes first along with the pictures for me though.

I can never stop my creative juices from flowing and end up in making more and more characters and their histories. XD

The Lasseur idea- Sable, Wren, and Rune came from me and my two other brothers x3 which might be probably the reason why I role play them very often, especially on the Neoboards. I'm stuck in the middle, like Wren, and her bitchiness is also from me. XD

Heck, I'm probably the only person among my group of friends that role play. @.@ It's kinda rare finding a fellow Malaysian that role plays.

"Hai, Sunny, what do you do during your in your free time ah?"

"Oh, I role play. 8D"

"What's a role play?"

"..."

"No I didn't," Quill said. "You can't teach yourself to ride a bike. But that didn't stop me from trying. I met my best friend that day." He grinned at the memory, "he ran me over with his bike." He could remember it clearly the day Gunter and his father had gone outside his father trying to teach him out to ride. They lived in condo and Gunter lived a little while down the hall. They'd both gotten bikes for Christmas but as much as Quill's dad said he'd been home to teach he never was. And when he had been he was to tired... So when Quill looked out the window to see Gunter and his Dad trying it he took the bike snuck out when his butler was looking and wheeled it down the elevator. Attempting to teach himself. He feel many times but one stood out he'd fell right as Gunter was wobbling along for the first time on his own. He hadn't been able to ster and hit right into Quill falling on top of him. Funny how some friendships started.
"Like what?" he asked catching her eyes fully for the first time since she asked. It was surprisingly easy to talk about it to her.

Ahaha my brother actually introduced me to roleplaying. I'm not sure if he does it much now I think he likes killing thins in Modern Warfare to much to be literate... Darn fourteen year olds! Haha. But besides him few people know I roleplay. My cousins do briefly but not how much, they know I write though. But again I don't think they've truly ever realized the magnum of it. They act like I'm crazy when I say I want to be an author, silly peoples.
And I tried to get my one friend to roleplay. She wasn't good at it, and I don't think she ever really got it. Haha. My one friend knows I write fanfiction though.

I stumbled upon role playing in Neo when I was 12. x3 I got started and yes, I did get a lot of yelling from the literates along the way. I tried introducing it to my friends but all they'll do is give me blank looks. I think I have a friend that role plays occasionally, but he likes role playing Medieval. =.= One of my friends likes my writings about my characters and bla bla, and she always demands to see more. She wasn't interested in role playing though- her English wasn't very good due to having Chinese as her first language and she attended Chinese school. =.

Aww thats cool I think it was 13 when I started. And I didn't really get yelled at enough. I don't think I ever got yelled at by the literates. Though I don't see why not my characters were complete one dimensional Mary Sues...

Aimee couldn't help but laugh when he said his best friend had run over him. "I don't know what your life is like at all... All I know is what I see." She averted her eyes and looked at her toes. "I know you're extremely smart, you're athletic and strong, and you're amazing at everything you do." She continued to stare at her feet, knowing full well she came out and complimented him on almost everything he did. "But... what's you're drive?" she asked, her eyes going back to him.
"You must have something, or someone that makes you want to make those good grades, be the captain of the sports teams, and be... as great as you are." she said. She looked completely serious, as if trying to figure it out. "I've never been seen as anything than pretty, and a gymnast... I don't have a drive. I don't have the need to be good in school, or to try out for sports." she said.
A small smile tugged at the edge of her lips. She wanted to know why he was so perfect, and it was obvious that everyone who was that perfect had a drive to be that way. Did he have a girl he was trying to impress? Well, probably not, he was always this way since she first met him, and first saw him. Was he competing with someone? Or maybe he was just trying to show someone how great he was. Whatever it was, she wanted to know why.
On top of that, the story about him trying to teach himself to ride a bike had been disturbing to her for some lame reason. She felt that it was sad when a kid had to teach himself to ride a bike, and not have someone there to teach them.

Quill stared at her for a long moment. He realized those were compliments, it was the part where he was supposed to be humble say he really wasn't all that great. And he wasn't, and he was humble but that wasn't what she was looking for. "What was the reason you decided to become a hunter?" he asked her. It seemed kind of out of the blue but sitting up strait Indian style his chining resting on his fist it wasn't out of the blue for him. He'd answer her question, but first with another.

(( I remember how I got hooked~ XD no one in my area Roleplays. ono except Shadow, but she's on the coast and I don't really know know her. XD
My cousin stephanie introduced me to neopets when I was about ten. I played it for a bit, then got bored and didn't look back. Then my cousin offered me her millions of neopoints because she didn't want to play anymore. XD I remember lying about my age and saying I was thirteen when I was... like.. twelve? XD and getting the neopoints and stuff. And since I was thirteen, I went on the newbie boards alot.
Have you two ever been there? There are some boards where people kind of like... chat play themselves.

XD like that. And I loved that. ALOT. and for a long time I did that until someone mentioned I was Roleplaying and to go to the Roleplay board. XD

So I listened and went, then I learned about semi-literate and literate. x3 THUS, Roleplaying began. I actually had my first RP guild with a friend I met on neo. x3 it was just a basic, Anime manga gaming roleplaying guild, and they had an offsite fourm. o3o I became obsessed with Roleplaying, naturally. XD

Quite honestly I don't tell my friends about Roleplaying o .o I mean, I know they'll look at me strange when I tell them. XD They hate working... in general. We're all lazy butts. XD plus, the subject never comes up. ouo; The only other person that I know who is on the computer alot like me, is named Matthew. x3 my dumb skater who loves techno. XD he only gets on to make techno music and to make strange arts apparently. AND to play video games. He's obsessed. XD ))

I used to love the newbie forum I'd do them all the time. Before them I never went on the boards. My goal had been to get a painted neopet. And when that got hard I started trying to adopt. I never did... Haha, but I did get a lot of paintbrushes fairy fountain quests and not a lab map. Then it all went from there.

Hmm a lot has happened but I suck at summaries. Panda you're better at this, GO! Haha, please?

Aimee watched as Quill sat upright, criss-cross-apple sauce as her preschool teacher had said, except in french of course. She looked at Quill for a long time, throwing his question around in her head. She looked away from him and sat up, crossing her legs and letting her hands rest in her lap. She began to play with the headband wrapped around her wrist, and her expression seemed distant, and upset.
"About a year ago, when I was still living in LA, my brother and I went on a walk. My mom was at home, by herself, and my brother received a phone call." Aimee's heart sank. "It was the neighbors, telling him to come home immediately. When we got home, the cops, as well as an ambulance had arrived, and the doctors were carrying my mother out of the house, covered in a blanket. No one would answer me when I asked what had happened, and the next day my father flew in from working in the war and stuff." Aimee said. She stared at her hands, and at the headband for a long time, finding it hard to speak. "Even he wouldn't answer me, and we moved to Rhyolite." she said quietly. "then the government asked my dad if they had permission to recruit me as a vampire hunter, and he said yes. So they did, and I wouldn't at first... I didn't want anything to do with... killing." Aimee's voice became soft.
"My dad told me my mom was killed by a vampire, that night, and that was why no one had told me anything, because it was a secret. He wanted me to get into being a hunter so that I could avenge my mom but..." Aimee paused, "I still hate killing." She said softly, "You probably have noticed I haven't been the most enthusiastic about vampire hunting, until I met you... and James..." she said.
"Avenging isn't my thing but... yeah, that's why." she gave a gentle shrug, and closed her eyes. She could barely talk. The only reason why she was really working harder as a hunter now was because being a hunter, at the moment, was the only way she could spend time with Quill and James more often. It had been the center of them spending time together. Not once had they been somewhere together that didn't involve vampires sometime later or earlier in the day.

I totally tried once I had a guild.. but it got hard and uninteresting. I'm trying to think what I've roleplayed... mostly books and completely unique topics..

You know...I was going to add the twins, but I don't think I will.

Roleplaying on Neo was terrible. Literate boards were hard to find and a lot of people who thought they were literate were really rude and jerks, but yet they couldn't spell! Plus, nobody was ever really original and Neo blocked any topics or deleted any topics that were good or "inappropriate". Bah. You need to be 13 to talk in those forums or a parent watching you! So it's the kid's fault if they can't handle it. >.>

Uhm... okay. Well Panda, First off, Azrael is depressed. XD she barely has any friends, except for inanimate objects. Rin and Thomas are getting a bit closer, but Thomas hasn't wanted much to do with relationships at the moment.

Riri is off at camp at the moment, and Vivian and Fern are going to leave for... Seoul? for a while because they're depressed about the triangles I made up and that are now kind of broken. XD matthew chose Grace to be his girlfriend instead of Fern, and Callum figured out that Vivian likes him.
Callum has given up on Loretta by the way |D; kind of.

Overall, the Merrill home is a dramma MESS. x3

I've roleplayed anthro neopets before! and I still do.. kind of. I got inspired by that because I saw this really great artist and her anthro pets and she roleplayed them so I got into that for a long time. x3

I do not, under any circumstance, roleplay based off a book, a tv show, or whatever. XD I do not like that at alllllll I need to have my own characters. x3 ))
