| ooc// I was always good at algebra. It's geometry and calculus that I never could get. Although they say that people who are good with one kind of math (such as algebra) sometimes aren't good at others (like calc.). I always thought geometry would be so easy. Then again I had the most BORING teacher. He talked in one of those dull tones that made you fall asleep.
Anyway, do you guys like my new hunter? Is she okay? Tell me if something is wrong. D: I'll fix it. I'm working on some males.

| Sol shifted uncomfortably and her uncomfortableness was portrayed on her face perfectly. "Well... I just wanted to say hi... and talk to him..." She messed with her sketchbook but kept eye contact with Wren. "I was going to ask him to model too..." she added, her voice trailing off. Her voice seemed to trail off with each sentence that came from her mouth. When the cat arrived, Sol couldn't help but feel more uncomfortable as she looked at it. It stared back at her with that look that made her want to back away from it. She bit her lower lip. Maybe she could just turn around and leave, but she was quite frightened of these two, and her legs wouldn't move for her. Sol was very unlike Kolian in this way. In a way, Kolian wanted to desperately tear Wren apart or to shove her on a ship and tell her good riddance. However, Sol wanted nothing more than to hide away from this girl. Sol was very timid and though she was frightened of this girl, it could be surely said that she didn't hate her. Sol never hated girls who scared her. Her only feeling towards such a girl was fear, and not hatred. | |

| "Hmm~?" Wren said, her blue eyes narrowing. "Model?" She was already judging Sol by her appearance and demeanor. Unfortunately, Sol was now added into her so-called 'torment' list. To Wren, any person that becomes intimidated by her, is shy, timid and an easy target for bullying. She smirked and bent down to pick up the huge brown tabby Maine Coon by her feet. "Well, Altair." she said, smirking happily. "Looks like we found another one."
"Stop blocking the way, Wren." Rune huffed grumpily behind her. "Mit needs to go out." He actually gave her a small shove in the shoulders so that she will step out of the way. Rolling her eyes, Wren stepped aside and the Border Collie shot out into the lawn. Air, Rune's cat, was now balancing on the boy's shoulders, digging his claws in. "Oh hello Sol." Rune said neutrally and then glanced at the smirking Wren. "I see you've met Wren." His face twisted into a frown as he looked at the both of them. Sol looked freaked and it was obvious that Wren had intimidated her immediately. He sighed. Even after turned, his sister never got tired of intimidating others.

| Sol seemed to relax, but only a little at the sight of Rune and his voice. She watched Mit race out and she felt like she could control her feet. "Hi Rune..." she replied with a small nod before looking between the two. Yes, they definitely looked alike. Siblings, she thought. Sol rocked on her feet a little, then made a small smile, "Well I'm sorry... If this is a bad time I can go. I apologize." she said, though she figured she shouldn't be the one apologizing. Sol turned away and started to leave. She wanted nothing more than to get away as soon as possible. Wren scared her to death and Rune's presence didn't calm her down enough. As sol walked away she thought about the cats in Wren's arms and the one on Rune's shoulder. She thought about how they looked and picked out the features they shared. They were most definitely related. However, the older one seemed to be meaner and more intimidating than Rune. | |

| (( I finally have time to write for Holly! Block on Clara, sorry. I'll write something for my hunter and make the other character profiles later. )) "I'll just have a strawberry milkshake," Holly said. She was seated inside the local diner and a booth closest to the door. She was staring down at the menu looking as if she was going to order something else. She wasn't and she rarely ever did. The only thing she ever gets when eh rarely comes into the diner is a strawberry milkshake. She used to do that a lot her first year in the town, but seeing as her lack of exercise she realized quickly that she was gaining a little weight. So she shortened it to a visit to the diner once a month; or even longer than that. After folding the menu back up she handed it to the waitress. "I'll be right back with your drink," she said and quickly left to her next table. Holly watched the waitress for about a minute before averting her eyes to the window. Today was a really boring day, but lately that was starting to be every day. | |

| (( YAY I have an idea for Zach.... XDD Poor guy. Doesn't see girls like Holly. u .u *knocks him out* 83 ))
Zach walked into the diner, his stomach growling. He was very lanky yet he loved to eat like a trucker. He was seated at a table near Holly, and he was quick to order a large lunch with a chocolate milkshake. When he handed the menu back to the waiter, he looked around the diner, his eyes, like usual, going straight through some of the people there. If he didn't recognize them, then his eyes went through them as if they were invisible. (unless they held some sort of authority and he should see who they are). Zach's eyes passed right through Holly when he was looking around. He didn't even think about who she was or that she went to his school. He didn't know she went to his school, in fact. Zach was aware of only the people in his group, sadly. Though he was a very, very nice guy it was rare that he ever could "see" anyone in a lower clique. A waitress passing by with a cup of coffee on her tray, accidentally tripped (over air, what seemed like) and fell. Zach would've caught her if he had seen it sooner, and if there wasn't hot coffee over the front of his shirt. Zach jumped up as coffee was spilled over his shirt leaving a huge stain down the front. "Ah!" Zach tugged at the front of his shirt so that the cloth was separated from his skin, so the burning could stop.

| "Oi." Rune barked, running forward and placing Air on Sol's shoulder. The cat squealed in protest as he did. He wasn't about to give up easily. Wren may intimidate others but Rune wasn't going to give his sister the satisfaction of watching someone run away from her. "Nah, it isn't a bad time. Wren's just sour because I won her in a staring, no, glaring contest. Don't let her intimidate you too much." He raised an eyebrow at her. (short ) | |

| "No but perhaps you should have looked at your files!" Quill hissed eyes narrowing as he crossed the room swooping down to grab Sol's file from the ground. As he read over it he leaned stiffly on the wall beside Nerine a clear symbol of who's side he was taking. "Dude this girl is the same as my grandmother!" he made a face at the thought. The whole thing was starting to get under his skin and the more it did the harsher his face got. What if this had been him, what if Aimee had been a vampire? What would he have done. Speaking of Aimee he hadn't given her one glance from the second her voice came out all sympathetic. He knew later is softness her compassion would be one of the many things he admired about her but not right now. He wanted her on his side on this and since she wasn't he was doing his best to avoid any contact with her for fear his anger with James at the moment no matter how mislead would come out at her as well. His glare lowered to the floor his arms crossed. Vampire hunting it wasn't the average kid job, they weren't busing tables or delivering papers they were risking lives for this! And love couldn't get in the way, especially when that love came from the very things you are hunting! | |

- Leo shrugged casually. "Well, the music just makes it more fun. You can chose the songs if you want." Leo wasn't extremely picky about the music he listened to. Any song with a good beat or a heartfelt tune and he was golden. Aislinn was the one who always chose the music to play, and Leo was cool with that. The most annoying thing though was that Aislinn couldn't sit through one song without changing the songs. Even if they were good songs, Aislinn always changed it.
It went with his sister's mood. She always had to be doing something, but it couldn't be for long, else Aislinn would soon get bored and it wouldn't be fun for anybody. Speaking of his sister...Leo looked up at the ceiling, hearing his sister get up in her bedroom. Bear seemed to have heard it too, for his ears pricked up and Bear padded silently out of the room without a last look. Soon Aislinn was downstairs, her auburn hair in a high messy bun, no makeup on and a towel with her swim team bathing suit on. "New team schedule?" Leo asked. Aislinn never had practice these days. Aislinn nodded. "We have our first competition in a few weeks." Aislinn smiled at Regan. "Hey, Regan," she went over behind Leo, and rested her hands on the back of his chair. "Do you guys need help today with chores?" she asked kindly. "I've got a swim meet and then I can come back after and help." Leo shrugged. "Dunno, whatddya think, Regan?" He turned to the Aurora coven leader. Regan curled her feet up on the couch to hold her knees against her, her face resting innocently on top as she looked at Leo. In honesty she looked at him and realized one of the very things that she found herself thinking of most of her coven members, she didn't know them. Sure she knew his name, and could probably rattle off his age and birth date if she dug through her mind. But that wasn't because she'd sat down to get to know him ask him these things it was because she was the leader of the coven he was in. She knew his name and birth date because the government was starting to press down on files try to get their backgrounds, another thing she was trying to fight. Everyday it seemed they were trying to gather more and more about them. But as she looked at him now she him offering her pick of music, offering to help, picking up her paint brushes she wondered how long she'd been doing things alone. How long since she'd really had a friend. The thought however was depressing so she pushed it away planting her feet on the ground happy for Aislinn's arrival it gave her time to actually think about what music she might want to be played while they did chores. She smiled at Aislinn as she entered but it was a far away smile that showed her mind was only half way in the conversation, a polite jester nothing more. A jester that she was starting to realize more and more how common it was for her. "Hey," she replied. "Help is always welcome but don't feel obligated to rush back, have fun." In honesty she kind of realized how motherly that could've came out but she didn't dwell on it. She wanted Aislinn to have fun with her swim meets and practices she seemed to but one of the few that was actually taking an interest in Rhyolite and getting active and she wanted to embrace that as much as possible. If that meant more work for her than fine in was worth it at this point.

| "She's probably two times as old as she is." Nerine said dryly, snorting with contempt as she reached out and took the file from his hands, flicking through it absentmindedly. She looked up and glared around incredulously, stopping at Aimee's face and then at James and finally back to the file again, which she tossed onto the table. "Vampires wiped out my family." she hissed, crossing her arms. "I don't see how you can even freaking sympathize with them." Suddenly, she couldn't take it anymore. She knew that if she continued staying in the tense atmosphere in the kitchen, she knew that she was going to land a punch on someone's face. That was the last thing that she wanted to do. The situation right now was already upsetting enough as it is.
"I need a breather." she said over her shoulder as she walked out of the kitchen and out the front door. The house seemed to rattle as she slammed the door shut.

| James sighed. He looked up at Nerine as she glared at him. It gave a whole new meaning to the term 'if looks could kill.' He reached up a hand to massage his temple. His headache wasn't getting any better, thanks to this conversation. He bit his lip, not wanting to make enemies with his team. Their comments were hitting the bullseye every time. And everytime they hit it, they pushed him harder and harder below the surface. James was not quick to show his feelings, except when he got extremely mad. Now, he was just exasperated, willing them to understand. Clearly, his will was not as powerful as his friends. Obviously he had to break it to Sol, one way or the other that he knew she was a vampire...but then how would she respond? Probably ask him where he'd gotten this knowledge, and then, to put it Nerine's way - 'wheee. The cat's out of the bag.' So what was he going to do? Rest on it? No, he had to resolve this with a level head. He could just stop talking to her. There were so many more kids at school that Sol could have grabbed, even made a snack out of. James thought dryly. But then, he was being unfair. He had to give Sol credit. Being a newborn and being around a human who just got diced and cut up by another fresh newborn couldn't have been easy to handle. But she handled it, which was more than he could ask for. Sol was so sweet, and James was not about to crush her. The only thing he was mad about was how could Sol, knowing what she was, let herself get involved with an obvious human? It confused James. How could he let her down easily? Say he got another girlfriend? Family issues? There were so many possibilities. James honestly didn't want to pull the mom card, but he thought about his mother. What would she have done? Being a vampire hunter herself, Nikola seemed so ruthless and merciless in combat. But she would only kill when there was a dire need. Nikola did not like killing just for fun. She thought it was barbaric. James agreed, as much as he seemed like a cars, motorcycles and pirates kind of guy. 'Help, Mom. Rashel. I need you guys.' James thought. 'They're grilling me like a shish-kebab, and all I'm getting is burnt.' Normally, he would have turned to his father, or a father-like figure. Peter knew about vampires. It was hard not to with a vampire hunter as a wife. But to James, Peter was a far cry from a father figure, and James realized he didn't really have anyone to ask for help, save for the very people who were arguing with him. It's not that James saw Nerine and Quill as the 'other side' per say, but James certainly did not appreciate how they were taking this news. Quill was right, though, James should have looked at his files when he'd gotten the job. He was seething when they pulled him in for the position as a vampire hunter. He didn't want to be a vampire hunter. All he wanted was his family back, and it wasn't looking like that was going to happen anytime soon. So what was a guy to do? James was sixteen at the time, and now at seventeen, his feelings toward the government had not changed. Of course he followed the rules, and did nothing to give away his position. James was deep in thought. Nothing he thought of was helping. He didn't see this situation coming. He wasn't ready, and that was what James was stumbling over. 'What's the use in solving this problem?' James thought, glaring at the floor. 'I'm going to hell anyways. The government is going to kill me when they find out.' His thoughts volleyed back and forth in his head, like a continuous ping pong or tennis tournament. James remembered when he was younger, he played ping pong with his friends. They played by the normal rules, except when you miss the ball, the opponent got to bounce the ping pong ball across the table at the other opponents back. The ping pong always left golfball sized welts on their backs for days. This situation was like that. There was no way to settle this fairly and have both teams walk away unharmed in a small way. James was either going to rip Sol's heart in half, or tear his team apart. James remembered his thought earlier in the day of wanting to come back to this place. So peaceful, so calm and beautiful....no. Not anymore. All he wanted to do now was grab his things and leave. Finally, James answered, his voice calm, trying to figure a way to solve this. "You're right, Quill, I should have looked at my files. That was my fault. I've learned my lesson." He didn't want to break it off with Sol. Not in the least. He fell hard for her, and now he was crashing and burning. He was at an impasse. He didn't want to break Sol's heart, but with her being an immortal, and him being a human, it wasn't going to work. James loved Sol, but he was not becoming a vampire. Not for anything. | |

| Aimee watched Quill, she could see his anger over flowing. She knew how James felt about vampires. He honestly would run away from it all if he could, but he was stuck like her. She was sucked into this crap because she was Aimee. Because her father told her that her mother had been killed by a vampire. Aimee realized something for once in her life. How come she never felt like all vamps deserved death? How come she never outright called them leeches, vamps, blood suckers? How come she didn't truly hate them? Aimee realized that she didn't trust her own father. As much as she had loved the man, after her mother died there was nothing. She didn't truly believe in her father's words and yet here she was, doing this for him, for her brother, and "for her mom". Aimee watched as Nerine left, and she didn't blame the girl. At James's voice Aimee flinched a little. She could hear that hidden turmoil, all that he pushed down to hide so that no one could see. No, she didn't understand how he could love a 70 year old woman, but he had been deceived. Soliara had not told him that she was 70 or a vampire, and honestly she was like any other teenage girl. She looked it, anyways. When it fell quiet again, Aimee didn't know what to say except, "We should probably go home now..." Her voice was soft and she was hurt because her teddy bear was hurt too. James, he could figure it out, he was strong... he could. She put a hand on his shoulder and rubbed it gently and gave him a comforting smile, though it was weak. "You'll figure this all out." she said reassuringly, knowing he was brilliant enough to do so. She then let go and walked over Quill, looking at him as if she were almost unsure if she should touch him. Something told her not to, but she wanted to. She touched his shoulder gently as well. His reaction bothered her while Nerine's had been expected. For some reason, she didn't know why, but she didn't like his reaction. Something about it made her uncomfortable and she wished him to calm down. He was too angry, to stressed... but maybe she was just too calm, too relaxed about the whole thing. "Quill..." she said softly. | |

| Sol blinked and smiled as Rune put the cat on her shoulder. She looked over at the cat and gently petted it. her touch was as delicate as ever and she tilted her head to rest on it a little before her head turned upright again. "Okay..." Sol said then nodded a little. she was still holding her sketchbook in her hand, but her free hand was there to pet Air. "Who is this?" she asked softly, "I didn't know you had a cat, I just thought you had Mit." she said softly. | |
