Vampire Hunters Empty
PostSubject: Vampire Hunters   Vampire Hunters Icon_minitimeTue Jul 20, 2010 7:36 am

Up until recently the government didn't feel the need for hunters. The vampires were keeping their word and not taking any blood from live humans. But after an incident in Colorado they feel that vampires may have been pulling fast ones on them that they haven't been catching therefore applying vampire hunters to the job.
Vampire hunters are more spies employed by the government to keep an eye on local covens. They can range from ages thirteen to seventy-five, all having different ties and reasons for how they got positions in the hunt. Some are government members themselves, or retired ones at that. (These are mostly the adult hunters over thirty.) Some are government officials children or relatives. Each story for each hunter is different, as is their tolerability for the blood-suckers and their hostility toward them.
Vampire Hunter's job consists from watching covens and their members to investigating every death that happens in town
and how it came to be. Each one in the town does somehow know each other, (as they are few in numbers and need each other to work together) how closely they know the others is up to the roleplayers. In conclusion vampire hunters are technical workers for the government. They are detectives or every death in town, hoping to prove a death could be the work of a vampire. If found that a vampire did do the doing they are then down to proving which coven did it and destroying them in however way they choose, using whatever government contacts available.

Roleplaying a vampire hunter is slightly more technical than another character as they have leverage that other characters don't. Being as they are entitled to be more aggressive in roleplay, and that power can easily be over done. If you wish to roleplay one keep in mind Fiona will be reading over your character more strictly than others and if she corrects you more often than with previous characters its to ensure these characters are played fairly an not against you as a roleplayer.
Pasts of a vampire hunters should be more detailed and way over the four sentence limit for other characters. They need to have reason for what they are doing and not everyone will be approved. There is also no saying that all hunters need to be human (though most should be), but be prepared to give strong reason for why a vampire would hunt others is you want a vampire. There are ways and some probably will be accepted but they have to have reason.

*Please not that no roleplayer is allowed more than one hunter.

Please post your vampire hunters below.

Character Name: Quillan Josef Ellis
Played by: Fiona
Real Age: 17, Born: February 14th 1992
Looks: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Human; Vampire Hunter
Appearance:One of the most worked on attributes to Quillan physique his is light ruffled brown hair. The thick strands cover just over the earlobes, though he styles it in the morning it is mostly natural. And being the boy he is rarely gets touch-up through the day. The hair frames his face in chopped strands.
His skin is a tanned white slightly by the sun, rarely breaking out. Having been in few real fights aside from school shuffles and practices he only has one early visible scar. Located on his right shoulder blade is a small two inch long pale scare that he got from a street fight which he'd tried to avoid. His attacker had caught him off guard with a thin knife.
His eyes are a light blue color, that betrays more emotion than he often likes. They can tell what he is thinking like an open book, so many times if he's hiding some his eyes are adverted or covered. Besides his hair they are easily one of the most distinguishable features on his face.
Over all Quill is a good looking guy who knows it well. He stands at a near exact five feet eight inches, not exactly tall be he isn't short either just about average. His body is well muscled from years of martial arts and sports. Well fit he is one hundred and fifty two pounds to the dime.
Personality: Quill is someone very hard to define, someone who comes off to the world as someone completely different than he is. Yet somehow is both people, both sides so drastically different yet so... Quill.
At a first glance you see his sparkling eyes stunning smile and well kept hair and you know this kid has it made. He opens his mouth and this stunning class clown comes out, a shining comedic. Then when you think this kid can't get more better he takes to the field, or the gym biceps tight he is a machine. He knows how to make you laugh, just with a smile a stunning charming look you can't help it. He appears to have it all, personality, looks, and money. And perhaps that idea is a part of him, that ability to come off so confident so stunning but is he so wonderful on the inside? Is this guy truly what meets the eye?
Getting deeper like most people you find there is much more in side the novel than the cover. Away from the parties the people the scene the smile falls. At home he is alone in a big empty mansion, the only trace of his parents is in the seldom pictures around the house. He can have all the friends in the world and nothing seems to add up to the same. Those people don't love him, they admire him covet him it isn't the same and he knows it. He strives for recognition a pat on the back, a good job, well done... Just this from the very two people in the world he wants to listen most his parents.
He works himself to the wicks end at school, creating and maintaining the thing any parent should glow at a 4.0. But it isn't enough. He goes out for sports , becomes captain and still when he looks up into the stands they're not there. When he doesn't get even a glance he goes to the studio the one place he learn to control everything that he keeps bodied up. The place where he can works until his disappointment can't be felt through exhaustion. Where even if he can't please his parents he can please himself, anger released.
Past: As a young boy Quill grew up in the outskirts of Baltimore, Maryland in a big home under constant care of not his parents but their staff. He was given all the best things, clothing and toys and yet even from the young age of five he knew there was something missing.
He'd watch other little boys in his neighborhood playing with a ball with their fathers, he'd see the proud parents portrayed on the television and he felt a big hole inside his chest. His Nanny Helena was the closest thing to a mother he ever had. She'd hold him when he cried alone on his birthday, and try to teach him soccer. She knew the whole staff that worked around their house knew this wasn't healthy for the boy.
And in kindergarten Quill proved him right, some of the other little boys saw that Quill wasn't dropped of by his parents but his Nanny. They were little they didn't understand what it was like to be different. They called him names, and told him that if his parents couldn't even bring him to school they must not love him. The anger and repeat of his thoughts out loud angered Quill so much he flung a punch at the boy. A tussle they would soon not forget.
The fight ended with the other boys nose broken and a pencil drove into Quill's back the only thing the other boy could do to protect himself. His parents were horrified and demanded he be taken out of school, home-schooled. One of the few times Quill every saw them and they were frowning down at him shouting their disapproval. He never did tell them what the fight was about. And they never guessed, but the staff did.
One of the most attentive staff members and working butler Kentaro Amaya had a suggestion for this output of anger Quillan seemed to have. A little art called Jujutsu, as which he'd worked as a part time instructor for. The idea wasn't well preseaved at first by his parents, teaching the boy fighting as a result from fighting but Kentaro told them it was more than that that it would help him control this anger he had. And they agreed.
After Quill finished his school work in the mornings (then taught by a professional tutor) he would go to the basement where Kentaro became his Sensei. He learned quickly and it wans't long before Kentaro took him to the studio where he worked where Quill gained many sensei's from the older students he was learning alongside to the other instructors. Including Garret, a boy two years older than Quill but the closest in age to him in the classes. Soon they boys learned they had much in common, his first friendship formed.
When Quill celebrated his tenth birthday at home with Helena and Garret the loss for his parents was still killing him but with a friend and a passion it was easier to push aside. He was doing well in school and the top of the class in Jujutsu, he told Helena there were other arts to be learned at the studio. That in Kendo the students used swords. Immediately Helena talked to Kentaro who signed Quill and Garret up.
In wasn't until sixth grade Quill insisted he be put back in normal school. His parents weren't keen on the idea but at the request of Quill tutor they agreed enrolling him in the best private school available without boarding or travel. Quill had been nervous he'd never truly been since kindergarten was so different than junior high anyway. But it turned out to be one of the best things he could ever do. He gained friends popularity, found a love in soccer and parkour.
Everything was going great until last year when his parents announced their divorce. Quill was sad but only because he felt he should be, thats how much kids would feel. He didn't think it would affect him that much until the court ruled his father full custody of him. With little reason to say in Baltimore and a job promotion his father was off back to California to be in the state senate with Quill in the back seat. Away from his best friend, school, and everything he thought he'd built up.
Quill was angry, he started to make the wrong friends getting into street fights that replaced Judo practices. All until one night when he had gone to far thrown in jail he was arrested. His father bailed him out, and no charges were meet not in the slightest mark on him actually. (His father used to be a high end lawyer after all.) But that didn't change the fact that his father was livid and said that he needed discipline. Just he brought Kentaro over (Who no question punished Quill on his own.) giving him a raise and getting him a job in another martial arts studio. Then when his father enrolled him to help with the government in a job that was growing all around the starts. That mission of the vampire hunter. It will count as his community service as well (being the secret organization it is) and look good on college applications. That along with his high grades and martial arts experience made him highly qualified. This his father thought would teach Quill discipline and danger.
Kentaro didn't agree it was right but kept silent for he was risking a huge raise in disagreeing with his boss. Quill who already knew his mistake well, and ashamed of himself thought of this as an opportunity. Sure he was in trouble, but this was something his father signed him up for. Something he'd wanted him specifically to do. It was the perfect way to gain his fathers respect, and he planned to work himself to the death until he was the best vampire slayer in the world something so great his father couldn't possibly not be proud of him.

Character Name: Aimee Lastel
Played by: Panda_pals
Real Age: 16
Looks: 16
Gender: Female
Species: Human; Vampire Hunter

Appearance: When looking at this young vampire hunter, you would know for sure she is the most beautiful girl in the school. She's beautiful, plain and simple. She has fair skin that tans to a nice color when she's at the beach. She rarely ever breaks out - and makes sure of that by cleaning her face and skin often. She has beautiful blonde hair that she often parts on the side. It's bright and one of the most distinguishable features on her. She often keeps it short and to her shoulders, not wanting it to become long so that she looks like all the other girls out there. Aimee's eyes are a bright clear blue, and when you look at them it would be like you're looking at a clear sky in California. She has a stunning smile that would make any boy go weak at the knees.
Aimee doesn't dress like the "popular" clique at school. She wears her own style and stays to whatever she thinks make her beautiful, and whatever makes her comfortable. One look at her body and you wouldn't think she was a vampire hunter. She looks almost delicate and slight, and if she were in a fight, you would probably think the opposing side would win hands down. Aimee has a hidden strength that goes past looks. You see her, and you think this beautiful popular girl, who's not athletic like the rest of them.
Aimee, in fact, is a very skilled gymnast. She doesn't work out and lift weights, but her daily routines at the gymnastics gymnasium help her strengthen her body. Her upper body arm strength is outstanding and you would never expect to see her do as many flips and endure everything that she goes through. Her balance is something to marvel at as well. When doing gymnastics, you get deductions for landing and being off balance, therefore making your scores smaller, which you don't want. Aimee's balance is outstanding and she's never off balance when she lands. She's very graceful and it shows in just the way she walks. On top of that, she is very good with pressure points and paralyzing a foe, which makes it easy for her to disable a vampire then burn the body.
Aimee also looks like your average well-off, not rich, but close enough, kind of girl. However, she's not an average girl. She's always seen sitting in class reading books about fantasy. Her books are always fat and she loves reading, no matter what it is. In school, she's never paying attention. She's always reading or writing stories. About the only time she does pay attention is if it's in English. Aimee loves to read and write and it shows. She seemed like an odd girl, but everyone likes that, for some reason. While alot of kids are ridiculed, she's praised and loved.
As of late, she has been more into school work than ever. Before, she never paid attention and tested off of her natural knowledge of things. She made a straight 90%, the lowest A you could possibly get. In two weeks, she made it to 100%, all across her scores. Lately she has been studying more because of one boy. Though she's beautiful and strong, she is also smart. If she doesn't try, you'll get an average result. If she ever does try, you'll get products beyond your wildest imagination.
She loves shiny things and that shows as well. Everything she likes seem to, or could be apart of a story. She loves necklaces, bracelets and occasionally earrings. She's never found wearing a skirt, because she feels that it looks strange on her, while in all actuality she looks very beautiful wearing a skirt. When you look at her, you would never, ever assume for her to be a technological geek either. She loves electronics as well and she's a genius when it comes to hacking and computers.

Personality: Aimee is a very interesting girl. As stated before, she never seemed to care about her grades, but was naturally smart enough to make straight A's, even if they were the lowest A's. She seemed to have never tried before, and still does, but what has happened is that she now has friends who she wants to make proud of her. She has a reason to make good grades, and now she's making perfect scores on everything. Still, though, in class she's never paying attention. She's always concentrating on a fat book. She could talk for hours about books, electronics, and gymnastics. She loves fairy tales as well, but sometimes she keeps her mouth shut about those things because people seem to look at her oddly when she does talk about stuff like that.
She is a very loyal friend and won't hesitate to help someone in need. If you befried her, you will always have a great friend. To certain things, she can be oblivious, but over all she's pretty smart when it comes to reading people. She can read her friends, but sometimes there can be a wall between her and her friends that make it hard for her to read.
Aimee is a very brilliant when it comes to technology. She's very good with editing videos, making programs, hacking, and all that stuff. Sometimes she can be found somewhere with her laptop, just staring at the screen with a large program running, that no one would have ever seen before in their lives. She's a great person to have if you're on a mission to break into someone's house where security is tight.
She isn't easy to pick on, mostly because there is nothing about her people would like to pick on her about. She's very friendly and kind, sometimes being a bit sensitive like all girls are. She is very quick to respond, or look at someone as if they're crazy if they do bother her or make fun of her. She doesn't like being laughed at mockingly and she'll go to the ends of the earth to make it go away.
Occasionally Aimee can have a really bad temper. Her temper is hidden away, but if provoked enough, her anger can get the best of her. If you hurt someone she loves or is close to, this anger will burst out. Often times her anger can lead to hurting someone, and even someone she cares about. Immediately after it disperses, she feels guilty and sorry for everything she has done.
Aimee seems pretty lazy, which she initially is, but lately some of her friends have driven her to be more than what she is, and more than what she is, is pretty good. Her mother is dead and her father off in Afghanistan, and her brother is her legal gaurdian when her father is away. Her brother doesn't care about her too much, but needs to know she's not sick, not on drugs, not pregnant, and making A's. As long as she's a good girl he doesn't care too much what she does. He's very protective of her, though, and if she brings a boy home, he'll question the living daylights out of the boy.
Aimee doesn't like causing her brother trouble, so she doesn't do anything bad. She takes care of herself, mostly, having no one to really "care" for her since her brother is always working or playing video games. Her knowledge of technology, gymnastics and pressure points makes her an interesting opponent.

Past: She was born in France on July 25th. She had a great family, a mother and father who cared, and an older brother who adored her. As a child she was no doubt spoiled, and was a bratty kid since the beginning. Her parents moved to America soon after she turned thirteen, and they found a place in LA, California. Her parents soon taught her she couldn't have all that she wanted. Her father went to work for the military, being a fan of the governement (unlike the rest of his family). Her brother was in highschool as she was in middle school, and her mother took care of them like any stay at home mom. One evening while Aimee was on a walk with her brother, her brother got a call from their neighbors. The neighbors said to come back as soon as possible because something was wrong. Upon running back to the house they saw ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks. There was no fire, but the ambulance carried out a body covered in a blanket. Aimee, being the age of 15 at the time was stricken. She knew who was under the blanket, and she knew, with fear in her heart that the person under the blanket was dead, and the person was also her mother. She never got a direct answer from anyone, and her father came home shortly after. When Aimee was recruited to be a hunter, her father got them to move to Rhyolite. Her father also was still going to stay in the military, since Aimee's brother was now a legal adult and could care for his sister. To get Aimee into the bussiness of vampire hunting for the government, her father made up a convincing lie that her mother had been killed by a vampire. Aimee's older brother knew nothing, so he too believed the lie. Aimee has yet to figure out the truth. Her father no longer visits as often as he used to, and Aimee feels like her only family is her brother. At home and at school she is a perfect child, having a phobia of getting in trouble by the authority. She doesn't ever want to cause her brother trouble, so she is very careful about what she does. When asked about her family, she never says anything much. Aimee now goes to the highschool in little Rhyolite as a normal student. She doesn't care much for vampire hunting, but does as the governement says.

Vampire Hunters Empty
PostSubject: James Aleksandr Romanov   Vampire Hunters Icon_minitimeThu Jul 22, 2010 1:36 am

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Full Name: James Aleksandr Romanov
Played by: RiRi
Real Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire Hunter (Human)

Appearance: James would certainly have a devilishly handsome face if it weren't for the wicked glint in his eye and a nasty diagonal scar marring his right cheek. A small gold ring on his right ear paired with a harsh, wicked grin makes the word 'pirate' immediately enter a persons mind. He isn't much older than seventeen, but it's reflected in dark eyes just how much he's been through. His messy black hair is even more unfashionable but his current appearance says he doesn't give a hang about fashion. James is well muscled, given his position as a vampire hunter. Although 5' 9" and 140 pounds, James is surprisingly agile. He walks with a tall stance, not ususally one to slouch over and grouch.

Personality: It wouldn't be a terrible mistake if someone mistook James for a hood. His looks overpower his personality, and given he's not one to open up and talk about his feelings, it's even more complicated to get him to open up and really see what he's thinking. His eyes don't really say much about his personality--they only convey the long hardship he's been through, and nothing else. No one knows much about his past, but they certainly know that he's held a long grudge against vampires.
James is never one to trust, or be trusted. Cunning and daring, James possesses a deadly temper and like a TNT bomb, he can be liable to explode, once given an opportunity to. Always doing handiwork in his free time, James always is working with someone else, so despite his menacing stance, he's always full of witty comebacks, having often being made fun of as the "pretty boy" in the construction group. To his construction group, James is always equipped with a comeback line and a grunt, but with company and friends, James is witty, and kind with a bit of a sarcastic streak to him.
When James speaks, his voice is harshly clipped with a Russian accent, his R's trilling every so often, and the accent littering the end of his sentences, almost as if it were a last thought. Sometimes, rarely, his sentences will be mixed with English and Russian, especially if he's confused, and thinking aloud. When James is speaking passionately about something however, his R's really start to slur together, almost ridiculously so that the syllables are intelligible.
All in all, its only in James' exterior that he seems harsh and short tempered, and "deep down, he's really a nice guy", although he has awfully weird ways of showing he cares.

Past: Nikola was born to a wealthy family, who worked in politics. They had a good fortune, good servants and a good business that kept the family at the top of the food chain. But all changed when as an act of protest, one vampire decided to hit below the belt and take Nikola and her twin sister Rose hostage. It wasn't just cruel. It was ruthless. The vampire starved the girls, only putting a small roll of bread and a one gallon jug of water in the dark cellar for a fortnight. The twins were separated in the cellar, forced to roll the jug of water back and forth. It was one time that Nikola rolled the jug too far out of Rose's reach, and the vampire wrenched Rose and Nikola apart. Rose was drained in a few seconds, right in front of Nikola's eyes. The ransom for the twins was finally paid, but it didn't matter to Nikola anymore. Nothing did. Only catching every single blood-drinking parasite out there was on her mind.
She trained like no other, defying what people whispered about her. A tempting rose with so many thorns, they said. Nikola became known to vampires as The Rose for her unique way of marking her victims. After killing her them, Nikola would take a bottle of Rosewater and pour it on her victims. She would leave the victim smelling sweet with a shower of silk red rose petals scattered on their chest. She didn't kill as many vampires as others, but Nikola was famous for her MO of the rose petals. She was ruthless as a vampire hunter and beautiful and graceful as a famous politicians daughter.

Fourteen Years Ago

"Now you go right back and apologize to your tutor, James, do you understand?" Nikola Romanov had her 4 year old son by the ear, and was leading him into the living room of their mansion. "Oww, ma!" James whined, struggling against his mothers grip. As small as his mother was, she had amazing strength. He didn't know where she got it from. "It was only a joke!"
"Putting spiders in your governess' bed is NOT a joke!" Nikola's voice was shrill. She led him up to a stern old woman, whose appearance may have been frightening if it weren't for the presence of many spider bites on her face, one bite even on her nose, giving her the appearance of a goofy looking clown. Nikola shoved her son in from of her, holding him firmly by his shoulders. "What do you say, James?"
James stared at his governess. Frau Peltzer's dull gray eyes were menacing, but looking down at the staring match between the tutor and her student, one would find the student's gaze much more frightening. James Romanov's eyes were a sharp and piercing green, inherited from his mother. Upon looking closer, which was something no one wanted to do--the four year old's gaze was unsettling--one would discover his eyes were flecked with silver, making his stare even more discomforting. "I'm sorry, Frau Peltzer." he said, solemn. "I deeply apologize and wish to be granted clemency." hands clasped behind his back and face pointed like an elfs, James smiled. Frau Peltzer did NOT feel even the slightest bit of tenderness towards the boy, but his smile disarmed her. It as charming, and his eyes sparkled like some precious gemstone caught in sunlight. She had no choice but to forgive her employers son.
James was gone from his mothers side as soon as Frau Peltzer had given her gracious rely. The door had been creeped open and James skidded to a halt in front of the great foyer. "Papa!"
Peter Romanov was not someone you wanted to make angry. He had eyes like two slabs of green ice and a stance that said he had seen many a battle. With a deep tenor voice, one would not expect him to have any mercy towards anyone. And he didn't.
James stood before his father, arms up. But Peter merely slid his eyes downward toward his son and strode past him, only stopping to give James a pat on his head. James' face slowly lost his smile, and his arms hung at his sides. Every time his father came home, James waited for the welcome of open arms and kisses from his father. They would never come.

Seven Years Ago

James sat beside the fire. His open books beside him gave him peace during the winter. They told him stories of pirates and and swashbuckling fights, where the pirates always won over their conquest. A sudden wailing jerked him out of his reverie. Getting up, James out his books down and went to his mothers room. His new baby sister, Rashel had fallen and bumped her head. She lay in her mothers arms, sobbing. "It hurts, mommy!" the 5 year old wailed. James stood at the doorway, looking at the way his mother held her daughter. For a moment, it sparked something in him, and James forced it out of his mind. "Mother." James held up an ice pack for his sister. "Thank you, James," Nikola took the ice pack, gesturing for her son to climb on the bed.
James placed the ice pack on Rashel's head, while rubbing her back. She was asleep within seconds, and James' index finger had somehow gotten stuck in Rashel's small fist. James lay with his sister and mother, just relaxed. It wasn't long before a ruckus could be heard downstairs. Peter's voice was booming, getting louder. "Sir, you can't do this!"
"We have every right to, Mr. Romanov, your wife knows it."
a stranger's voice responded. A bang echoed and two men in black suits appeared at the door."Nikola Romanov?"
Nikola visibly paled. "Yes."
"It's time you come back."
Nikola cast a frightened look at James, whose eyes were wide and frightened. "I'm sorry..." she gasped. It was all she could say before she was pulled away from James and Rashel.
"Mom!" James shouted, rushing at the men. He hit the one on the right with full force. Although a small 11 year old, James was strong. With the strike of a cobra, the man pulled a blade and James howled in pain, clutching his cheek. James and Rashel screamed for Nikola to come back as she as taken away. She never did. James never forgot the man's last words. "We'll come for you next."

One Year Ago

James, now sixteen stared at his commanding officer. "Your mother was one of our best." the officer said. "And now we'd like to take you next."
James eyed the man with white hot fury. "My mother and sister are DEAD." he ground out, green eyes flashing dangerously. "And all you can say is you can offer me a job since now my mother has an inconvenience.
It was only a second, and James had the man pinned down, blade to his throat. "Say it again, and I swear, I'll have your heart for dinner."
Soon, guards were in a circle around James and the fallen officer. The officer hadn't bothered to defend himself--he merely smirked, strange ice blue eyes glinting. "Son," he growled. "that is why we want you. You have the speed, strength, and agility to survive. More training, and you'll be almost as good as your mother."
James' face was contorted in a mask of absolute disgust mixed with his own cowardly interest. He was not a killer. But he had no choice. "Mull it over in your cell, Romanov.
James was jerked up, and dragged to a dark cell, where it represented more of a jail cell than anything else. He put his head in his hands. Rashel was gone, missing, no doubt dead, though James still had hope for his sister. Peter was merely a statue in the mansion. He hadn't mourned over his wife. He sat in his room, reading and staring into space. James was even more disgusted by his father than he was of his own interest in becoming a vampire hunter. What did he have to lose?

James stood in the doorway of the officer, jaw set. "Fine." he said. The officer looked up from writing a report.
"I'll do it."

Nerine looks unusually much more older than her age, but even so, she stands at only 5'4". This may give vampires an advantage because of her size, but she knows how to use it as an advantage as well. Her hair is long and it's a rather pale blonde color. It's originally straight, but it's often seen in curls. She has bangs, but she tends to push it to the side occasionally. It's often seen loose, but when she's training or when the weather's hot, she tends to tie it up into a ponytail or a bun. Her eyes are a pale, light blue that contrasts well with her looks. She has a beautiful, elegant face that is always darkened with her usual frown but shines when she smiles.

For her style rebut, she likes to wear dresses with leggings that have volves mostly around skirts, leggings, occasionally dresses and floral patterns. Though on other days she will just throw on skinny jeans and a t-shirt. Accessory-wise, she enjoys wearing large metal rings and long necklaces. She has a countless number of jewelry and belts as well as head bands and hair clips. She has a slight obsession with scarves as well. Nerine tends to quite fashionable at times. Overall, no matter how tomboyish she may seem, she is still a girl at heart.

Her movements aren't clumsy, nor are they graceful. They're swift and agile, ready to kill. She is often see wearing a necklace with an insignia of a black phoenix taking flight. The insignia of her family, the Fonnets. Nerine is feared by many who have heard or fought with her and managed to escape. Her family are considered a threat due to the amount of vampires that they managed to kill. Some are even hunting for her after hearing the news, determined to kill the last Fonnet and end the hunting for them once and for all.

She may seem cold to everyone, but it's just her struggling with her chaotic emotions. She struggles to try to be happy and even a proper smile is difficult for her. Nerine is often seen in distress, like someone who is about to break any moment.

Personality

Sadistic is probably the best word for when she is fighting. She attacks viciously over and over again until her opponent is crying out for mercy. Cold and ruthless, she never hesitates to kill and is confident in her abilities. Having being born and raised in a family full of vampire hunters, she is probably one of the dangerous hunters around. Anger is her key for it drives her forward, making her kill.

Nerine's hatred for vampires will normally end up in her making mistakes. Her first instinct and answer to everything is to fight. Negotiations and the thought of peace and a truce is lost to her. She firmly and cynically believes that all vampires should be killed. She takes out her anger and hatred by fighting and when she's calm again, she is never content, forever being alert and cautious over everything. She likes action and the thrill of a hunt, which makes her always want to join anything that has to do with watching or killing vampires.

Skepticism is part of her, having being raised never to trust anyone for a knife in the back is the last thing that she wanted. All she cares about is her job and is normally void in emotion unless provoked or spoken to. She may appear introverted, but in truth, she is not.

When Nerine spots a vampire, she tends to be cold and hostile, but she doesn't make it look as though she knows who they truly are. Instead, she makes it look as though she has a cold attitude towards everyone. Her patience for humans is limited as well, the thought of being stabbed in the back any moment is completely unappealing to her. She will only talk and work with other hunters, seeing that they too hunted the species that she hated. Nor will never accept any form of alliance, knowing full well that it was limited and fragile, ready to break any moment.

Nerine does have a soft spot though, but it is only seen and reserved for young children and animals. She believe that they are innocent, but upset that they would either grow up and have a happy life or instead see the horrors of the world. They give her a little hope to go on living because when she sees them, they remind her of her life and how fragile it was.

No matter how cold or dark Nerine seems, she struggles to move on with life. She struggles to smile, to be happy and most of them her attempts end up pathetically but nevertheless, she keeps trying.

History

Born in a family of vampire hunters, the Fonnets, Nerine has been training to kill ever since she could walk. The Fonnets were a powerful family of bounty hunters that were well known by other hunters and vampires. They had hunted and killed vampires mercilessly, as long as there was a price. The Fonnets hold a firm belief that vampires who are once human have been cursed and that's why they deserve to be killed. It has been passed down from many generations and Nerine holds that belief till today. They also hunt them for money but for Nerine's case, it's revenge.

Before Nerine moved to Rhyolite, she had been living in Washington with her family. Nerine's parents had told her that vampires are no fairy tale- they are real. At first, she didn't believe it of course. To make her believe that they're indeed real, they sent her out on her first task; kill a vampire in the forest and bring it's body back. The task was indeed extreme for a seven year old, but for one whose life is committed to fighting and had beaten up a bully before, it didn't seem that difficult. She wanted a gun, but her parents didn't allow her one because they felt as though she was too young, which she was.

The vampire was a newborn and it had been feeding on a doe when she crept up behind him stealthily and leaped onto his back. She did get hurt in the process, that explained a scar on her neck and because she had the element of surprise at her side, he was taken down in a few minutes. After her opponent was dead, all she could do was stare at the corpse. She had killed her first vampire. The stories and fairy tales that she had heard, were all nothing but a fake. This was the real thing and she had seen what humans believe that it's nothing but a myth. And that was the first time she felt the thrill of hunting and watching someone in pain.

A few weeks later,a group of vampires who have had enough of the Fonnets hunting them down, broke into the house and Nerine fought for her life. The vampires were all powerful and experienced, and it was nothing that she had experienced before. Furthermore, it was in her own house which made things even worse. Her family managed to take down a lot of vampires, but they eventually perished when there was always someone to take a companion's place after they killed at least one vampire. Nerine had been fighting non stop, taking down anyone in her way with a roundhouse kick followed by sharp twist to the neck. She did see her family die one by one as they were taken down, but she had pushed her grief away and concentrated instead on surviving this ordeal. Eventually it was all over and among the dead, were the bodies of her parents, her siblings, everyone. Luck and skill had saved her, but it did not save her family. Her emotions came flying back, and grief was the first one to envelop her as she realized that she is the last of the living members of the Fonnets.

After that rather disastrous incident that claimed the lives of her family, Nerine had vowed to hunt down every living vampire just to take out her anguish, hatred, despair and anger on them and to continue her family's tradition on hunting. What is left in her is completely unknown. She was soon employed by the government (who figured it'll probably a waste if the last Fonnet's skills weren't used for their own good) and sent to a stay in an orphanage in Rhyolite. Why Rhyolite? All the other towns were already taken by the other hunters. She now does her job as a vampire hunter, silently watching over the town.

Nerine's dream is to restore the now abandoned Fonnet mansion and restore her family's name to glory once again. She waits for the day when she would turn eighteen and inherit the family fortune, but right now, she has no choice but to wait. It kills her inside though, knowing full well that she has to wait for another three years before her inheritance will be finally hers.
